Sometimes guys just lay the foundation…

For Miami, Cam came in and gave guys confidence , showed them how to believe they could be winners. He helped instill that work ethic and desire for greatness
Showed them what WORK and dedication to their craft was. We went two decades without leaders that showed what real work was. We had a horrible culture that was promoted by the players. Poon hounds, video game addicts, weed heads, folks that didn't take football seriously for a long time in this program. A group (coach AND players) eventually needed to help weed these players out.

The impact of Cam Ward coming to Miami is impossible to overstate. We would have been TERRIBLE without him last year, coming off 5-7/7-6, and a lot of doubt about this regime would’ve been there. (Seriously, imagine that defense with an Emory Williams led offense)

Instead we got a 10 win season, a Heisman finalist first overall pick, and a blueprint for any portal qb out there that they can come to Miami and put up big numbers and win games (while obviously making a ton of money)

I’m not sure it will ever be appreciated enough what he did for this program.
