Perry looked so much better than Rosier and it wasn't even close. The offense showed some fluidity to it and Perry put together two monster drives (first and last of game) that Rosier never did in 3 years. He throws a tighter spiral, with more zip on the ball and is way more aggressive looking to throw the ball downfield, making throws last night Rosier just can't. The concern Richt has stated of Perry not being able to run like Rosier is untrue as Perry took off numerous times on 3rd down converting. Perry plays with emotion (even the commentator said it while we were losing) where Rosier always looks like he woke up from a nap prematurely and the offense plays just like that. Perry throws the bubble screen in front of the receiver allowing him to run forward with momentum instead of having Receiver turn his body after bad Rosier throw. The talent gap between the two is so visible and even more so after last night.

This is true perry looked good last night and provides at least a glimmer of hope going forward for this team.

Perry was fine. Not perfect, but much, much better than anything Rosier can do.

He really had very few inaccurate passes. He missed a wide open TD to Jordan, but it happens. He's not getting any help from his WRs (although Wiggins did make an excellent catch on a low throw) nor his coaches.

Case in point, we point to all these great offenses around the country and their QBs putting up huge stats.....early in the game Miami has a 1-on-1 matchup down the field. 6'5 Lawrence Cager against a smaller DB. No one else within 20 yards of the ball. Perry puts it in a very catchable spot from about 40 yards away, Cager shrinks (as usual) and tries to basket catch the ball while the DB does up above him to knock it away. What else can you do as a QB? We've screamed for 2 years about Rosier to just give the great athletes we have here a chance. Just give em a chance to make a play. Perry does that, and the kid doesn't even come close to making a play. No one has been louder in displeasure over Richt's offense here than me, but at some point the kids need to make plays, too.

2nd point, we FINALLY run a tunnel screen to Thomas. Only took 10 games, but OK. We finally do something smart. Perry hits him directly in the chest on a dead run, and for some unknown god**** reason, Boulware delays on his release and can't get to the DB in time. If he just gets in his way (and he would have EASILY had he moved on the snap instead of delaying), Thomas is still running and heyyyyyy those QB stats look a **** of a lot better. Again, either poor design or poor execution. But Perry did his job perfectly. All these guys who we point to as being great college QBs with video game numbers...their kids and coaches help them out. Miami got very, very little help from anyone around Perry last night.

Which is why he never should have been pulled against Virginia. A redshirt freshman, making his first road start, in a conference night game, played like a redshirt freshman, making his first road start, in a conference night game. Who could possibly have seen that coming? Maybe the coaches in their infinite wisdom could have thought of that implausible scenario and gone through those growing pains.

Richts management of the QB position this season has been absolutely terrible. Literally could not have been managed any worse

Imagine Perry's development if Richt didn't take him out against UVA and then proceed to juggle QBs for the next 2 games in unheard of and beyond stupid fashion

At least Jeff Thomas was pretty heavily involved. And he was targeted a few more times in addition to his receptions

Imagine Perry's development if he didn't have Richt and Co. as his coaches.

Two things he did that ****ed me off was the botched snap and the miss to Jordan. Other than that he played fine. At least on his deep balls he overthrew the guys instead of underthrowing and getting picked. Now just get the two idiots Richts away from him and he should improve greatly next season.

Perry has talent. Imagine where he would be with a real HC, OC and QB Coach. Kid would be top 10 nationally at least. #AnyoneButRicht

Lol at “Rosier never did in 3 years”

Guess you missed the FSU game last year when he did it twice in the second half.

God**** some of you are ******* dumb

Yes, he led us back against FSU and then again against Ga Tech, the following week. The coaches did a good job of masking his weaknesses early on but Pittsburgh figured something out and we haven't been able to adjust to it, or it has became impossible to hide his weaknesses. It was time to move on from him a while ago.

You’re correct

But dudes acting like Perry lit it up last night, he was decent, fairly efficient. Missed some wide open WR, but played good enough to win

By conventional standards, he was decent, by what we've seen from the qb the last few weeks, he did light it up.
