SulkaWouldn’t doubt at all if it’s the UNLV QB - kid that’s sitting now because allegedly UNLV NIL group lied to him about $$$
Never said I agreed with it lol - said it wouldn’t surprise me.Sulka
He can’t complete a pass
I think a Mateer, a Jalon Daniels or even a disgraced former starter like Miller Moss are doable.Never said I agreed with it lol - said it wouldn’t surprise me.
If we think another Cam Ward is walking through the door - better prepare because it’ll be a lot moping on CIS come offseason portal time.
But it is what it is: let’s focus on enjoying the remainder of what appears to be our 2nd 10+ win season in over a decade and a half!
Want to say Daniels eligibility is done. Moss is interesting but a QB that Riley gives up on isn’t exactly the kinda guy that I’d think would hold up in an environment like Miami. Miami isn’t for the faint of heart and I’m not sold that Moss has that “it” factor that it takes to be successful at Miami.I think a Mateer, a Jalon Daniels or even a disgraced former starter like Miller Moss are doable.
Bring him in and let him or whoever compete with Williams/Poff and our freshman.Mateer is my choice. He can sling it and is a good athlete. Hoover from TCU is a dark horse.

Big Poff is better than Sluka.Wouldn’t doubt at all if it’s the UNLV QB - kid that’s sitting now because allegedly UNLV NIL group lied to him about $$$

Mateer
Hoover
Chandler Morris?
Miller Moss
Brendan Sorsby?
These will probably be the top names in the portal. It’s a weak portal QB class on paper, unless someone unexpected jumps in. None of those guys are good enough to win you a championship, none are first round talents as of today.
One guy that I would keep my eye on with multiple years of eligibility - Darian Mensah out of Tulane. He’s looked extremely mature as a redshirt freshman, completing over 65% of his passes and a 16:4 TD to INT ratio. He’s not my first or second option, but he’s intriguing. Big game tomorrow against Navy.
Sleeper - Rocco Becht. From Florida too. He’s put up good numbers this year and made plays.
