To summarize:

Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott will now make $1.6 million per year, making him the highest-paid offensive coordinator in the nation. (Elliott and former co-coordinator Jeff Scott each made $1 million in 2019 ) Elliott, 40, is now the lone member on Clemson's staff with the title of offensive coordinator. He's also the running backs coach. Quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter will now also hold the title of passing game coordinator.

(Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian made $1.55 million in 2019, per USA Today. )

— Wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham will make $300,000.

— Defensive tackles coach/recruiting coordinator Todd Bates will make $515,000 (up from $375,000).

— Defensive ends coach Lemanksi Hall will make $500,000 (up from $350,000).

— Brent Venables' five-year $11.6-million deal implemented in 2018 (and extended a year in 2019) adds back a fifth year and goes through January 2025.

Brandon Streeter has been at Clemson getting groomed, learning the system, culture, business aspect of Clemson, all while being the quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator. Now he is being promoted to passing game coordinator. He has set himself up to take over as the primary OC if and when Tony Elliott accepts an HC gig in the future. This is the ideal setup for any college in the country.

I can only hope that Lashlee is here long enough to do the same for some of our up and coming analysts/coaches that are currently our staff.

They are trying their hardest to prevent their coaches from getting poached. I'm sure it does get old having to replace an nearly an entire staff year after year, because they all move on to bigger coaching gigs. Stability is a good thing for a program.

Good for them if they earned it. The employer feels they're worth it and that's their right. Congratulations to those who chase their paper....
