For the buyout?
If it isn't used for buyout it can be earmarked for football

If someone starts a Gofundme, they should do it to raise money for the school for a buyout. That would be a legitimate statement. Raising $1,000 for picket signs and $2,000 for a banner doesn't prove anything to anyone. Raising $500,000 or $1M to help fund a buyout would get real press and make a legitimate statement showing that the fan base actually is willing to put their money where their mouth about not accepting the mediocrity that Golden is happy to helm. The thing is, it has to be set up so the school can't get access to the money unless it is used for the specific purpose of funding the buyout. That makes it "news" because it changes the age-old process. Traditionally, schools get donations that come direct to them, get put into a pot, and the school has 100% authority to determine how the funds are spent. Well, the world is changing, and now groups can organize themselves and demand that money only be accessed if spent a certain way. If the school doesn't want to be held hostage in this way, then they can say "no thanks" and everyone can get their money back. But a year from now when they decide to can Golden anyway, that money won't be there for them. Is raising that type of dough feasible with our fan base, I don't know. It sure wouldn't be easy. But in the digital age, with a worldwide fan base, I wouldn't be shocked. $1M is $100 from 10,000 people - seems reasonable enough. But if you want to get the attention of people who matter, do it in an organized way with a material finished product, not a bunch of crap strewn across a yard.
