Yeah.. that surprised the **** out of me. Odds makers got the rankings an hour early last year and moved the lines accordingly. At that point everybody knew who was in and who was out.

This year though.. they were way off.
 
Crazy that on FD they closed at -3000. Bama also surged up to -380 or something so I thought we were ****ed lol
 
I wonder if someone was manipulating the betting and then just made $10 million in five minutes.
 
It swung dramatically after the sports books erroneously put out the playoff game odds. I wonder if that was their intention. I got ND no at +1120 but went pretty light sadly.

Exactly. People need to stop viewing Vegas as a predictor. The line moves to match the money. Vegas wins the most if there is an even amount of $$ on both sides of a ticket.
 
Vegas has become the escape hatch for people who ran out of real football points. The current wave of bettors turned every debate into a hypothetical number instead of an actual on field argument. and the whole “they’d be favored on a neutral field” line has infected the discourse. It is one of the worst shifts the sport has taken because it lets people dodge matchups, context, and results in favor of a projection that never HAS to be proven right
 
Who put down on Miami to make it at the beginning of the week?!
