It seems like the defense is legit, including the d-line because of the game plan. The D had what 4 turnovers and really only gave up 17 points.

Qb is good not great yet much improved over last year,
TE good not great, waiting on a more physical Mallory
WRs were good not great
RBs were pretty good, should had more yardage but cams run was flagged
Interior oline held there own. Gaynor gave up some sacks on delayed blitzes. J Williams gave up some by holding on too long
Zion was better after rewatching on the espn sky zone broadcast of the game. Campbell was not good.

Special teams were well coached, however baxa and Thomas personal gaffs were big.

So let me ask this. If we had two 5th year all American left and right tackles
1. Do we win the game?
2. Would we make the acc champion ship game?
3. Could we beat Clemson in the game?
4. Are we two tackle positions away from competing every year?

How are y’all saying Zion was better after watching the sky cam? He was getting abused in the pass rush

Bad question, "every year?" No.

You watch the sky cam. I didn’t say he was great or didn’t give up pressures or sacks but not everything was his fault. You can also see the potential

Yea after a rewatch I feel better about Zion. A lot of his issues were being late getting off at the snap, which can be corrected. He got beat a couple times but he had some nice blocks too. Campbell was just getting beat every which way possible. That plus his penalities, has me coming away more concerned with RT.

That being said, you couldn’t ask for a tougher environment to dump 2 FR T plus a FR QB in their first career start and that should be the toughest DL we face so I expect them to grow and improve each week. Hope coaches stick with them, sounds like they will. Got to develop some continuity.

Agree with most of your other points as well OP. Good post.

Another issue is UF correctly anticipated our snap count a couple of times. This is still an issue for us. idgaf if you're Larry Allen, Orlando Pace, Steve Hutchinson -- there's not much you can do short of holding when the defenders are one step ahead of you.

Do we win the game with two 5th year all American left and right tackles? We win by two touch downs if we do.

Can we beat Clemson with two 5th year tackles? Probably not but we keep it closer. Jarren Williams is a very good QB and only getting better.

We will make the ACC championship this year with the current team. Manny will get this fixed. He is the new prototype head coach. We will get better each week.
