Says his sources in Texas (of which he has many) have heard nothing to indicate that Strong is on the hot seat yet, and that the Texas boosters are ready to give him at least another year because they understand its a tough rebuild. FWIW, Bayless thought Strong could make the U the "U" again. Stephen A. disagreed. Said Strong was not renegade enough. Too cookie cutter, straightedge of a guy.

But also said Charlie would win at the U, just wouldn't bring back the mystique.
 
Perfect.. that wouldnt of been a good look for UT anyway. This isnt the NFL.. you need more then 2 years at the college level to bring in some guys especially the way he purged that roster. Even though i know he's not the answer for them.. im glad he wont be the answer for us.

I always thought mystique was a bit overrated when it came down to coaching and game-planning anyways.

Yeah I couldnt believe it either. I was in shock when I just so happen to run into it while flipping channels..Its just so interesting how so many people in the national media want Miami to be back so bad. You can just hear it in their voice. Clowns like Paul Finnebaum dont want it because it will affect the SEC love affair. But people who dont have any skin in the game know that we are a coach away. And they want it to happen. And they know it can happen. AND IT WILL HAPPEN! #BBB .

I usually never agree with Stephen *****, but I'm gonna have to this time.

I saw the culture that Strong fostered when Louisville was lighting us up in the RAB. He had those boys playing loose with the attitude we've been missing for quite some time. I'm skeptical on if Strong would succeed here or not. That guy has had success and great defenses wherever he went, all of a sudden he forgot how to coach defense at Texas? I doubt it.

Fck mystique anyway. I'm cool with being in contention for the national title anyway. I couldn't give 2 ***** otherwise.

And Cowherd said the exact opposite today. He said his sources say Strong is very interested in Miami because he is fed up with the politics at Texas. Cowherd said a Miami coach runs the show and that is appealing to Strong.

Finnebaum plays to statewide audience. THE U, when winning, is global. National guys want Convicts vs Catholics, wide Right X, and all the hate again. Heck, The Return had legs for 5 days. A kick return against Duke -- 5 days. Urban and Nick -- about as exciting as watching grass grow -- and that is during the game. Miami had more excitement during the coin flip than whole games today.
