Markel Bell is a different sized human being even when compared to other large people. if he can translate that into his play he will be a starting tackle at some point next season.

In this scenario, do you have Francis Mauigoa moving to LG? While I agree that Bell is a uniquely talented prospect and think he has a great chance to contribute this season, I don't see him supplanting either of the incumbent Tackles this year barring injury unless whoever takes over at LG this year struggles mightily and the coaches trust Bell enough to start him at Tackle.

I think it's much more likely that Bell serves as the backup to Rivers this season then takes over LT in 2025 as Rivers is more than likely going to declare for the NFL Draft despite having one more year of eligibility remaining.

That is a good question. But you are correct that Bell would have to beat out Rivers, who was very good last season. I don’t see anyone beating out Francis. We may have a very good problem on our hands in terms of Oline talent where good players are being forced out of spots.

I don’t remember this dude I wasn’t super into cfb at that time tbh
I'm an old man, was born in Melbourne and went to school in that area until 7th grade, when we moved to Cocoa so had lots of friends in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area. Went back to Melbourne for college and, if his dad is who I think he is, he played basketball at my college around 1983-6. Played pickup games with him on numerous occasions and remember him having a kid while we were in school.
