Should LSU fire Miles?

It seems likely at this point but I think it would be a stupid firing.

He's .772 in his career while playing in the SEC West division.

I think Les Miles is a good coach. The problem is that even though he won a NC, he did it after Saban won one at LSU and continues to win them. This also is happening at their #1 rival in the same division of the same conference. LSU's expectations are a little off kilter. It would not surprise me if Miles is terminated, that Houston's Herman gets offered the job.

What makes you think he's a good coach?

He runs an outdated offense. His teams constantly come out flat in big games. He hasn't been able to recruit a good QB in almost a decade.

No one does less with more.

Should've been fired last year.

Their window was last year. Now w the budget issues facing that staye, and education system, even w the big money boosters, they may not be able to lure Jumbo or Herman away.
I don't get why people think jimbo would leave fsu for Lsu

It's not more prestigious, if anything fsu is the better program in a more fertile recruiting state and in an easier conference

His buyout is far less money this year which is paid by boosters. If Jimbo or Hermen have reasonable buyouts then it could happen. Of course LSU could still win the Sec and he wouldn't be fired.

All your points are valid, but I think it just comes down to wanting a change of scene and fresh start after his recent personal problems.

I clown him all the time about it, but what happened to him was pretty humiliating.

Game passed him by. He decided to stick with the Schembechler approach to football, and you can't win that way anymore. That Power I left, Power I right **** just doesn't cut it

Even Saban opened up his offense and incorporated some spread principles.

They're not winning the SEC. I doubt they even finish 2nd in their own division. In fact, Auburn and Ole Miss may finish in front of them, maybe even A&M.

Yeah that's true.
I mean it's not a crazy thought I wasn't bashing you, I was just always curious after the talk last year. I didn't know if he had an lsu connection or something

Because he almost did last year....why do you think they extended him??

I always think the idea of Jimbo going to LSU is an absurd pipe dream of LSU fans and maybe Miami fans as well.

I think there is a better chance of Al Golden being LSU's coach next year than Jimbo Fisher.

On a similar but other note, when did LSU become this powerhouse school in football? Before Nick Saban they were trash except for maybe a couple of years. I think LSU is going to start to see some really dark times.

I think it's a total myth when people be saying, oh they have 'll this talent yada yada. They get beat by Arkansas, Ole Miss etc. They never produce any QB worth anything and they expect to be Bama 2.0. Miles has worn out his welcome I feel. It's tome for him to go. They look like the same team from last year. Harris hasn't made any improvements. You have teams like Texas and FSU breaking in brand new QBs against tough opposition and doing quite well. It's ridiculous.

Hope he stays at least until we play him next year. Need his corching *** on the sidelines to get our soul back.
