Short yardage problems

The truth of the matter is, the O-Line is the weak point of this team right now.

We basically have a offensive line full of slow guards that have little athleticism. These guys are slow as balls off the ball and it’s why we are struggling to find consistency on offensive, adding to our problem with the streaky QB we have.

I sure as **** hope that this year’s recruiting class can come in and do something because I’m not sold on Gaynor, Herbert and Hillery becoming bonified starters next year.

To get to the next level we’re going to need to play on a much higher level on the O-Line.

I completely agree with the assertion that the OL is still a work in progress and the lack of a legit FB is not helping either but at this point in the season Richt has to know that running the ball between the tackles in short yardage situations is simply not going to work. Definition of insanity and all that. It’s on him as the HC/OC to figure out a solution until we have the personnel to run a power running game.
