Look at this from ESPN:

"When I was first contacted I poured over some guys who I wanted." Heupel said. "Me being an offensive guy, getting the right hire on defense was critical. I have competed and coached against Randy. He plays a 3-4 scheme and believes in multiple coverages."

Randy is 4-3 Cover 2 all the way. Dude doesn't even know who he just hired.

I would love to be a fly on the wall for the first day of spring practice when Randy has the defense running his usual stuff and Heupel says, "Wait...I thought you were a 3-4 multiple coverage guy."

Hilarious. You can't make this stuff up.

Almost as bad as Herm Edwards not knowing the Arizona State mascot.
 
Should have just stated he is an experienced Def cord who has deep recruiting ties in South florida
