I have to agree with this post. He struck transfer portal gold with Kenneth Walker.

And I haven't done a deep dive into it or anything but basic analysis tells you his W/L record is super skewed. Primarily because of the defense - there's something unsustainable going on there.. they have the largest favorable variance between these 2 stats in the entire country.

Scoring defense rank: 44th - 23.4 PPG
Total defense YPG rank: 111th - 459.6 YPG

For reference with Miami:
Scoring defense rank: 107th - 33.9 PPG
Total defense YPG rank: 95th - 431.4 YPG

For reference with Kentucky (I would say they have similar talent and similar scheme):
Scoring defense rank: 38th - 22.8 PPG
Total defense rank: 27th - 341.4 YPG

A lot goes into those numbers - field position, turnovers forced, are they getting TFL and sacks? Haven't looked into it but those ranking variations aren't
sustainable.

Last year they were the opposite - 54th in YPG and 98th in PPG. I see them falling flat on their face next year
