Unless we make the playoffs this season is done. We will get a bowl game, maybe even a good one but Beck, Ruben, Mesidor and other high draftees will opt out. Sad that as we play our best ball of the year that it ends like this. I guess the main reason to watch would be to see a different QB at the helm...sigh!

Playoff or not, I disagree. I think Beck plays and I also think we get a great matchup against Texas in the Gator Bowl. Mesi might play (draft position improvement etc), Bain shouldn’t for obvious reasons. Also gives our other guys a chance to play on a huge stage vs another team that EASILY could’ve made the playoff.

I will be surprised BUT thrilled if we make the playoffs. In 2000 we were the obvious choice and then they advanced fsu after we had beaten them...same scenario and disaoointment. We deserve to play over more then just ND, there are several other teams that don't deserve it. Duke gets a shot at the ACC championship..Manny Diaz of all people will get a shot at ACC champions. How bizarre is that, sickening but fact plus Va lost to NC ST a team we embarrassed but it doesn't count It;s the NCAA plus inept ACC I don't see any reason to think Notre Dame will be dropped to get our Canes in. If Cam Ward and his star power couldn't get us in last year we just will keep geting the short end of the stick Thankfully lots of class people recognize our ability so can they influence the committee? I sure hope sso.. I so want to see what this team can do especially since our offense woke up.

Mesidor least likely of all to play unfortunately due to injury history....

Texas would be the best matchup but we want no part of them if its Emory da gawww at QB....

Would love to watch these young guys show out. Am I disappointed if we are not in the playoffs, yes. But, there’s a lot of people on here that said 10-2 would be acceptable and a good season. Where the f**k were we supposed to lose those two games. ND? UF?FSU? USF? I’m at a loss to see where losing 2games is more acceptable at the beginning as opposed to the end of the schedule. If we lost to ND out of the gate this narrative is moot. We’re out. A loss to UF/FSU also puts us out. We are still in the game bc we beat those teams when ranked. If the committee has any balls they back up there metrics with action. We are the better team, H2H and statistically better. The mopes on this thread always point to the shoulda, coulda, woulda, at the same time predicting a 10-2 season. Can’t have it both ways. Still in the game, let the chips fall.
