Seems like many on here don’t watch other P5 games….

It’s hard to dominate good P5 for 4 quarters.

You have to give some respect to the opponent.

ND, UF and FSU aren’t devoid of talent.

They are going to make some plays.

That said…

We have had some lapses in execution at pivotal moments of these games on offense.

Needs to be cleaned up. But it’s heavily situational stuff.

Many people here likely aren't ingratiated with the statistical analysis performed during the games.

Of course they don't want it this close but it is higher risk of running pass plays, using no clock, having pick six etc.

Running game was a bit off tonight so it clearly didn't go as planned.

I think we’re all just frustrated because we were riding so high at 28–3. I’ll admit I got greedy and wanted another three touchdowns to embarrass them. The stat line was gonna look so good to shut their offense down and hold them to three.

Then it just got flukey as **** with them converting repeatedly by the skin of their teeth. It was so ridiculous. We were inches away from a route repeatedly, the odds of them stacking together all those plays is insane.

So yeah, we traded that sky high feeling for a nailbiter waiting for the last onside kick. It was annoying AF, but **** it. I’m trying to get myself over it. We got the W, state champs, move on.

While I wasn't happy with how the game ended, I get why it happened that way. FSU couldn't be allowed to score fast, and Mario knew they didn't have enough time left to come all the way back.

I'll take this W. Remember, this FSU team looked a lot better against what looks like a top 5 Bama team than they did us. The only reason they got yards and points at the end was because of our lead and the clock.

Is it the same brain surgeons that predicted a huge blowout ?

You dont understand man we could have lost. And in the future we might play bad and lose.

Miami should win every game by 30 other teams players have no impact on the game.

We just contained and played 20 yards off. Wasn't the same defensive calls. Game was over at the start of the 4th. Same with FSU and ND

Yeah because Lyle got Fletchers and Brown carries at wrong times in the game

Not asking to “dominate” the 4th quarter… but something better than just playing not to lose… is that realistic? Yes.

I knew this was going to be an annoying game. I said repeatedly that stupid QB is going to evade sacks, run around back there for half a minute and convert on 3rd and 4th. I don't know what those guys predicting big blowouts were thinking

The issue isn’t just the difficulty of beating a p5 team, it’s the trend of consistently going into a shell, and keeping other teams alive because we can’t finish them off. It’s going to bite back sooner or later, kind of like the defense did last year. If it happened once sure, but that’s 3 times out of 5 games.

People are right to be concerned

Then we spy the midget with Lightfoot lol. Another reason why spying is idiotic especially when the qb is very quick with wiggle . It’s useless .
