The o line should not be having this many problems and he has gotten a lot of his "guys". But what has he taught? These kids have been in the weight room but it looks like no technique has been taught and in the camp videos his "lessons" leave a lot to be desired. In year 3 we should have seen some sight of promise for the future

His guys? Tyree, Baloney, Gauthier? Those are not his guys.

Next year we should see massive improvement or Richt should can his ***'.

Scaife Reed Gaynor Donaldson Hillery. Our interior will be badass.

Even with the bad play calling our guys are getting taking to the cleaners they are flat out getting out techniqued and Mahoney is just too weak

What plays can you call with an offensive line that can't run block or pass protect?

agree. This really starts with the o line. The frustrating part is Richt doesnt do much to help himself with a terrible O line. He could relieve a little pressure with some quick release throws etc. But at the end of the day its the O line.

question... and please to not crush me for it... Would it be possible or unprecedented to hire an OC who also coached the O line? Just thinking how Richt does not like change and how could he make a change in 2 spots with only moving on from 1 coach....

Neil Callaway (current USC O Line coach) was Richt’s O Line coach at UGA and has also been an offensive coordinator at Alabama.

Will Friend (current Tennessee O Line coach) was Richt’s O Line coach at UGA and has also been an offensive coordinator at Colorado State.

Anything horizontal would be a good start.

Richt's "4 verts and a cloud of dust" strategy isn't working unless we get bailed out by refs throwing flags for PI.

I have seen them do both well at times. When are people going to understand that it's on the coaches to call plays the players can execute? ****, I am not convinced half of Richt's plays would work even if executed to perfection.

You can only mask bad blocking so much. Yes, you run certain plays to slow down pass rushers but you're severely handcuffed if you can't run to set up the pass or pass protect to set up the run.

My big worry is our guys arent getting bullied but getting beat technically like a machine the only guy getting bullied is Mahoney.

Don’t believe you.

Gaynor and Reed can help us this year.

There's no god **** excuse for Mahoney and Jones to continue seeing meaningful snaps.

Have you watched Tennessee this year? Worse offensive line than Miami..

I agree, but my point is even when they all do their jobs, the plays suck.
