Scott Nicolas - UM great linebacker Hall of fame class 2019

He is being honored tomorrow at the game along Antre Rolle and Vince Wilfork for the 2019 class. I work with a family member who invited me to tailgate with them and meet him. I am too young to have seen him playing and did not know anything about him but he finished his carrer in UM as all time leader tackler. His record was broken by Ted Hendricks and then Ray Lewis. He is still #3 all time.

Did anybody here see him playing? Comments?

Heads up again on Rolle and Vince being there tomorrow

Yeah..Saw him play many times...Excellent FB player...If I remember correctly had 24+ tackles in upset win vs #15 Penn St in 79...
 
I remember Scott Nicolas. Not well. Ted Hendricks couldn't break his record as Ted played years before Scott.

Thank you, understood it the wrong way. He broke Hendricks record back then. I researched it and Morgan is our all time leader. Ray holds the single season record
 
Looked it up. Scott did have a number of years in the NFL. Scott was part of the resurgence of UM football in late '70's, early '80's. Remember a number of guys from that team--only got to see them on TV infrequently back then.
