School Me- DT Whitfield vs Aaron Thompson

I understand the staff is high on the Mobile, AL DT Darrius Whitfield and not so much on Dillard's Aaron Thompson. Some say it's because Thompson is an undersized DT. Depending on which site you believe Thompson is between 6'2 and 6'4", which probably means he's more 6"2" 1/2 and 260 lbs. Whitfield is listed as 6'1" 268 Lbs. Is it because Whitfield is a natural DT in physical stature and abilities, with belief he will be 290+ with training and that Thompson isn't a natural DT and would not efficiently carry the extra weight and muscle? Just saying the measurables are very similar so what's the word on Thompson as a DT prospect/offer?

I've come to the conclusion he isn't going to get an offer. If Miami was going to offer they would have done it already. He could wind up like another Redwine situation where he gets a late offer before signing day, but he is by no means a priority, very low on the list most likely.

I feel like Thompson vs Pulley is a an accurate debate as well, never understood what Pulley brings that Thompson does not. I hope we can get Whitfield, solid player, but Thompson, who may not be a priority like mentioned prior, should be in Pulley's place in this class, not what I expected our only current oos commit would be.
