Agree that we've got a bunch of dudes who aren't at the level we need to be great, but are they taking up space we could now use? My understanding was that we had room to take a full class this year, meaning that while I don't want some of these guys on the field, they aren't keeping us from picked my up more talented kids. Yes i think you're wrong. We don't actually have space for a full class without serious attrition. Everyone on the board seems to just assume we'll take a full class and let the pieces fall, but it's not looking like we take a 28 player class with the current numbers and recent decommitts.

These are the likely candidates for atrrition this year. I could see 5-6 off this list sent packing. However i think 2017 will be the bigger year for attrition especially on the OL. It will be easier for Richt to backfill cuts with a year under his belt and don't forget 2018 EE's can count against 2017. 2018 will be a massive class.
CB Ryan Mayes - Will not be cut imo, still room to improve and the depth chart is too thin at CB to cut this year. Never high on this kid.
TE Jake O'Donnel - Buried on the depth chart, 2 incoming TE's and Nauta possibly in play
OL Jahair Jones- Will not see the field for Miami barring catastrophe, likely candidate.
LB Mike Smith- Too slow for LB, Only saving grace is depth issues at LB
LB Terry MCcray- Too slow for LB, Only saving grace is depth issues at LB
DL Jelani Hamilton-Congratulations on your degree.
WR D'Mauri Jones- Serious depth issues at WR, good chance they let him finish out his senior year.
DL Earl Moore- Congratulations on your degree.
DT Fines- Not high on this kid but it would be a bad look to cut someone from IMG after 1 year.
