In your opinion what scheme would fit our personnel that we already have on the roster. Me I am old school I believe in running the rock but I dont know if yearby can handle the punishment that duke took. On the defensive side I believe in the 43

3-4 would be fine if they ran it the right way and we have the personnel. like the 49ers for example they have elite LB but their D line is nothing special other than justin smith. We could use chad thomas or jelani hamilton as our justin smith and then mccord or AQM as our aldon smith next year. Just has to be done right and it can work however that is our problem.

Miami needs to go to a spread offense and an aggressive 4-3 defense. End of discussion. This square peg round hole scheme will never work in Miami. Chad Thomas, AQM, McCord, etc. are all 4-3 DE's. Olson Pierre, Hertelou, Chikilo, etc. are all DT's...

what RB has played here at Miami since 2003 has not finished a year without being hurt or missing games or crucial playes off

this year...Duke missed key downs, Gus & Yearby both missed games due to injury...we need 225LB plus studs we need old school Miami backs

Portis? Gore? James Jackson? Even Edge...None of those guys were bruisers in college. McGahee was better than Todd Gurley before injury, so he was a FREAK. Gus is 230...Duke is 200 and amazing! We just need to spread the field and use our weapons. i.e. spread Duke and Yearby out some. Go no-huddle, run more to the outside (no stretches!!!), run more out of the shotgun, and work a few reverses/misdirection plays to speed guys like Dorsett in. Stop this "check with me" bs and just let Kaaya call audibles as he sees fit. Honestly our offense isn't too bad, but our receivers run HORRIBLE routes (coaching) and our line can't block (coaching, recruiting, and conditioning).

while at miami i dont remember McGahee, Portis, Edge, or any of them being 225. Gore wasnt either but he was always hurt as well.

Spread Offense

I sorta know how 4-3 works from playing NCAA in high school ... So I'll go with 4-3

McGahee was 225+ at Miami!

Ok true i just looked at the roster from 2001 he was 224. But he still wasnt a bruising RB. If anyone was a bruising back it was gore which was why he was always hurt. The last bruising back i remember was damien berry and he was only 215. And was good but never great

I'm way more open to a spread offense on offense, think of the wr in south Florida and rb's to fit that system.

On defense give me an attacking 4-3 defense.

I think you need both types of backs on your roster. Most of the elite, productive backs in college and pros aren't AP types. They are Gore, Duke, Sanders types. Low center of gravity, quick cut but powerful. Moar lead run plays with nasty fbs getting your rb to the 2nd level. Less single back formations and durability will increase.

We want Big10 backs now. Smh

Spread offense.

4-3 attacking defense.

With the right Head Coach and staff. You get a yearly 10 or more win team. It's so easy man that it's frustrating.

Defense: I don't care what the base formation is as long as it's an attacking style. I do prefer the 4-3 that LSU runs and like watching the 4-3 double A-gap defense the Dolphins utilize under Coyle. I DON'T like the 4-3 base cover-2 bend but don't break defense.

Offense: Multiple sets. Up-tempo when you want but can slow it down to help the defense in tough games. I don't like straight shotgun spread or air raid. Lineman love to run block and it sets an attitude. To get recruits and beat top teams, you need balance. Balance is hard to defend. Balance showcases all positions. Balance puts guys in the pros b/c they aren't "system" guys.

4-3 with a pro style offense that has a spread system here and there worked in

I'm trying to be a fan of the spread but play action pro style over powering o line is what has always been the mark at the U
