Scarlett?

We have a decent o line as well I say that and the potential in our offense makes any recruit wanna join in the fun...

Yearby and Scarlett could be our Thunder and Lightning or Smash and Dash whatever you want to call it. Hopefully Gus learns how to block so he could become an H-back.

Well in that combo Scarlett is both Thunder and Lightning or Smash and Dash. Scarlett is more physical and more explosive than Yearby could ever be, and Yearby is a stud…..

I think he sticks but don't go off anything these kids put on Twitter

We usually get the Running backs because it's a great opportunity for them to make it to the NFL. Defensive tackle is another story.
Collins, Sony, Cook?

Point taken but only Collins was committed to us, and that was a truly ****** circumstance: he lived with the coach that Arkansas hired to get Collins. He also decommitted from us fairly early. The one you forgot was Brandon Powell, who it felt like got lost in the shuffle of Golden's PSU debacle. Even though he isn't a premier back compared to the other names you mentioned, that one still burns me because it felt like we dropped the ball. The others just didn't want to be here.

I predict we'll lose him via NSD flip to FSU along with Bruce and this board goes on maximum rustle.

Nightmare scenario is losing both Scarlett and Williams, ending up only with Walton at RB because they royally botched Cronkrite's recruitment and had such a disappointing season that the staff won't be able to keep our two best offensive commits.

I want to be wrong very badly. Need to bring in as much talent as possible for the next coach.

Curious....how did they botch Cronkrite's recruitment? I haven't really read that sentiment before.

I think he sticks and Golden brings in a top 10 class when all the letters are signed.

It's a win win. If Golden gets canned next year at least he isn't going to leave us bone dry ala Randy F'ng Shannon.

I think he sticks but we will be sweating this one out until the very end.

We were never "dry". Stop making things up because you like Al. Everyone keeps saying RS left the team dry when it wasn't the case... He left 4 NFL backs including the all time rusher in school history (Duke committed to RS) a few NFL starters on the oline, the single season record holder at wide receiver, the all time tight end school history(he left 3 NFL tight ends on the roster for Al and about 5 NFL receivers), the 2nd and 3rd all time passers in school history.

People keep saying Al had no talent but facts say otherwise. I don't know if Al has 5 NFL wideouts, 4 NFL backs and 3 NFL tight ends on the roster. Everyone knew Miller and Storm was NFL backs and with Duke coming we were stacked there. I can't say the same now for Al. Who is our stud wideout on the team with NFL potential? Come on let's stop spewing nonsense. Al has squandered talent since he's been here.

I want to say he sticks but when jumbo comes and puts the heat on who they really want they get them. If flu goes full court he's gone, jimbob is like four Coleys in one body when it come to recruiting.

Strictly speculation on my part but...

My guess is that we land Jordan Scarlett and one of the other two RB's (Walton - Williams).

My thinking:
* Scarlett's best choice is UM. He will walk in and be the feature back the first time he puts a helmet on.
* STA kid. Will have nominal "pressure" from HS staff to honor commitment.
* We won't keep all 3 RB's. Assuming Scarlett sticks, I think one of the other two will "examine other options."

Interesting. Had not heard that. What position are you/they thinking?

Pete has said they want to use Williams as an RB/WR who operates out of the slot when lined up at receiver.

It sounds like Williams' commitment would be solidified if they offered Jalen Julius, an ESPN 300 recruit as an ATH who wants to play WR in college and is also a very dynamic return specialist. If Williams decommits at some point, the staff's stubbornness and unwillingness to offer Julius will likely be the cause more than having two other backs committed.

Basically a RB/WR that works out of the slot is how they used Yearby this year right?

IIRC, Pete said a while back that the staff planned to use Williams more at WR than RB, though I'm not sure if that's still the case.
