The team has responded. They are by no means perfect, but they have responded and play hard. The defense has holes especially at LB which I believe could be solved with K. Smith and Austin-Cave if they'd give him a shot. I didn't expect the defensive line to get pressure on Pickett since they haven't had a pass rush all year, but the defensive line did a nice job. We need better play at one of the corner positions (Stevenson is solid) and the young safties will continue to improve.

We have faced all of the best QBs on the schedule. We've played against all the top QBs in the conference, so we should see an improvement in less yards and less points against weaker QBs.

The same can be said for the opposing defenses. We put up 30+ on the 2 best defenses (statistically) in the ACC. We could and should have put up 50 on Pitt. Rambo dropped a sure TD and had a drop on a deep pass thst would have been a difficult catch inside the 10. My point is there's nobody remaining on the schedule that can keep us from scoring 40+. Our defense will do just enough, but the scoring margins will be double digit scoring 40+ and keeping teams under 30.

If the team plays as hard for 4 quarters as they have the past 2 games against NC State and Pitt, they'll win out.

Sounds like TAC is on his way out. Him and his dad were screaming at Patke after the game (so I heard). How the **** does Ragone get snaps over TAC or Huff. Mind blowing.

Same thing im thinking lets face it this coaching staff knows that any loss may cost them their jobs so if ragone is in there he must be doing something the others aren't

They shouldn't, but they do. He's frustrated. His parents are frustrated.

I lived in NJ for 20 years. TAC is from Camden. It's a rough area like some areas around Miami. I know he wants to get to the NFL for his family like so many others. He can't do that on the sidelines.

He's one of our most athletic LBs. Very fast, but sits behind Flagg and Jennings who miss a lot of plays that should be made and they don't have the physical ability to be in pass coverage.

TAC has to take a serious look at transferring. The way the LB room has been handled is a complete joke. Diaz was even quoted as saying Jennings and Steed had been in the program a long time and have overcome so much and that's a large part as to why they are playing (paraphrasing).

Steed has played pretty well and moves good so he has earned snaps. I'm sorry, but #44, and #11 are not the answer and should NOT be getting the majority of the snaps. The film doesn't lie. They consistently grade low on PFF with a few exceptions. I wonder if PFF even grades the plays that they can't even get to, but should.

I really feel for TAC. A great young man that's going to make it here or somewhere else. He's going to be a Devin White type of player before he's done. 10 more lbs of muscle and he'll have the same size, physique, and speed as White. Maybe even faster than White Those are things you can't teach.

Patke needs to be fired. He sucks as a LB coach and as a Special teams coach. Both his units are terrible.

Yes. He's 4 5 -4 6 forty.

Check out his high school times in track and field. We can't see his 55 meter times without paying, but his 200 time of 22 86 seconds is obvious that he has speed.

Diaz and Patke are idiots. This kid was a diamond in the ruff when they found him. I actually think they don't want to look like fools at this point if this kid gets on the field and never comes off.

UNC will beat Pitt
Pitt will beat UVA and we will have a clear shot at the ACC Champ
In typical Miami fashion we will lose to Duke by a TD plus for no freaking reason.

We will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory I have no doubt

That's exactly what will happen. Has literally happened more times than it hasn't since we've been in the ACC.

Pitt is going to beat UVA. UVA's QB may have cracked ribs from the BYU game. If true, he's likely out for the rest of the season. Will most likely miss the Pitt game in 3 weeks. I'm sure they'll do everything to get him healthy enough to play. Typical fractured ribs are 4-6 weeks. Could be a chance he plays, but what would he be going into the game with maybe 2-3 days of practice in 3 weeks.

I hope UNC beats Pitt. It may come down to the Syracuse game. Pitt @ Syracuse for the last game of the regular season. Syracuse has been playing very well this season. A lot of close losses. Back to back wins after blowing out VT on the road. This could be a similar game to ours with Pitt.

I've learned that is how it has to be with Miami. We predict 10 wins every year and it never happens. I predicted 7 wins in 2017 and we actually won 10.

You feel like you're definitely getting beat these last 2 weeks and we win both. Looks like we should run the table and close out winning 6 straight to end the season but by experience... you know we won't do it.

That's just the reality of college football until you get over the hump of mediocrity. We're just in that cluster of about 50 teams that could be each other any given week. It's Georgia, Alabama, OSU, and Oklahoma - then Cincinnati aside because they're G5 - probably 5 or 6 schools better than mediocre in the tier below the first 4 - and then the group with us in it.
 
I can see Miami winning out but I say Pitt wins the Coastal and the ACC title game.

8-4 and we end up in a decent bowl. If this saves the recruiting class. Manny stays.
