Oklahoma is #7 and Ole Miss #10 at 1-2. Those rankings mean nothing.

These statistics-based polls / rankings so early in the season are really meaningless. There aren't enough data points to come up with any ranking that is even remotely reliable. Let's see what this looks like after 5 or 6 games.

Pre-season polls need to die. When no one has shown a **** thing, ranking teams is 100% illogical and biased. Does anyone think FSU would be ranked #2 had the rankings come out in week 6? Pathetic.

No

Computers are not used in the formula anymore. The rankings are determined by a committee now like the NCAA basketball tournament.
