Rueben Bain Draft Prospects

As a cowboys fan, draft season has always provided hope (because they’ve been **** more often then not). I listen to their draft pundits and they are usually plugged in. Their “Draft Show” is fantastic. Recently, two guys have mentioned things in Bain’s past are requiring a 2nd and 3rd look. Bryan Broaddus (former Eagles intern GM and Cowboys head of scouting) and Bobby Belt are really plugged in and when I heard this it made me perk up. Everything we have ever heard on Bain has been that’s he’s a great citizen and a pillar in the community. Has anyone ever heard anything negative on Bain? This forum would know.

Not sure about negative and not sure if this is what they’re referencing, but Bain obviously had a great freshman year, but got injured and put some bad weight on in his sophomore campaign. Maybe didn’t attack his conditioning as well as he did this past season, or maybe it was just part of his rehab. I don’t think there’s any credence to “character” issues with him, though.

Haven't seen or heard anything to suggest Bain has character issues (past or present). Regardless, the league is polluted with scumbags and lowlifes. So what's the diff?

These analytical dudes have been ****ting on Bain for a minute with all the small arm stuff.

And aren't you guys in the market for an edge? Maybe they are dropping subs and suggesting the team is going in another direction...

Edge is a massive need. We all know grimy characters when we hear/see them. Broaddus has never been that. That’s why it was so surprising.

We'd have heard rumblings about character issues on this forum. The source may have a history of being reputable, standup, or whatever, but I think it's a bunch of bull**** unless they can provide specifics.

I hope he doesn’t become a Cowboy. It was bad enough in the nineties when Jimmy took all the Canes. I hope they see he has short arms and falls to my Eagles!!! Bain is going to be a problem in the Pros. He is relentless and will be an all-pro just don’t want it to be with a star on his helmet!!!
