We flat out sucked last year. You can also add that we almost lost to CMU. Fact is, none of the games we lost because we missed a kick or three were games that should have come down to a kick. Say we win 9 games last year because we made FGs. We'd STILL lose to FIU, LaTech, and Duke. WL record doesn't tell the whole story. How you win and lose tells a lot. We lost to bad to below average teams.Unlike all of the trolls here who want IMMEDIATE results and if not fire the entire staff. Trolls here forget we lost most of our games by less than 7 points and 3 of those was because we could not make a 20 yeard field goal. When you add in the last place Enos Offense and horrible QB play always putting the Defense in bad possisions, 10 wins is very different from 6 wins. Enos is gone, we now have a Heisman level QB with a coordinator that can put some points on the board. What would have happened if last year we scored 35 plus points a game, with minimal turnovers, poor field position, Borregales field goals from 40 plus? We would win every game except for Clemson. Wake up you FSU and FL loving Trolls.

I'd say some of the kicking problems stemmed from Diaz playing mind games with kickers. I get it, Baxa was in a funk. He was also 7-10 his freshman year, and could hit from 50 out. You try to get his mind right, because he has the most talent of any kicker on the roster. Also, when is someone going to teach Manny that it's a good idea to center the ball for your kickers if you know you're going to settle for a FG attempt? ESPECIALLY knowing your kickers are struggling.not to mention if we had a reliable kicker we **** well would have FOUND other ways to lose. The team was a cancer and hopefully the recovery starts this month
Funny he brought up patience and the Reed affect not being over night..and also the Players being accountable..and that some of the kids with a ego not taking it well...funny.![]()

GT was what game 6 or 7..if this was the NFL Baxxa would’ve been cut..no coach would put up with how bad he wasI'd say some of the kicking problems stemmed from Diaz playing mind games with kickers. As shaky as Baxa was, if he kicks all three FGs against GT, he makes one. By the way, who is our special teams coach? If he can't help our kicker get straight, maybe he shouldn't be a special teams coach. There's not much more important on special teams than making a FG. Our fix for missed FGs? Keep benching kickers instead of getting their heads right. I might be wrong, but I don't think that's the best idea.
Great perspective Nate. It’s been said many times “Be careful what you ask for.” We asked for changes and there have been several that on paper, look pretty **** good. Time will tell if they bear fruit.i dont agree with one loss but agree with points overall. In a sick way it might have been better long term that we suffered so many bad losses last year because we have learned about the awful leadership and lack of work ethic. If this group won 9-10 games we might still have enos...no Ed...maybe stuck with jarren as well. And rock bottom would still be in front of us, whereas we can all hope that it is now officially behind us
So about as many games as our head coach would have made it in the NFL.GT was what game 6 or 7..if this was the NFL Baxxa would’ve been cut..no coach would put up with how bad he was
That has absolutely nothing to do with him benching baxa which was the right move..anyone who argues against that benching is talking in circlesSo about as many games as our head coach would have made it in the NFL.

So you’re saying ‘if we had scored 35 points a game, if we’d had fewer turnovers, if we’d had brtter field position, if we’d hit long field goals....’?
Are there any coaches other than Eddie O who can’t say the same sort of excuse shizzle?
Dude, you're making too much sense. Their heads are going to explode.Unlike all of the trolls here who want IMMEDIATE results and if not fire the entire staff.
