Where in the world did that come from yesterday? He has been horrible all year, and then goes HAM yesterday. Arguably the best day of any player all year??

New to canes bball? Brown was poised to have a breakout year. Had a good freshmen year. Just took him a minute to get in the groove.

When i saw this thread, i thought it was news that RB broke his ankle or some news like it.

Everyone should chill with the hate when someone posts a new thread, seems like every time I read a new thread, half of the posts are about how dumb of a thread/idea it is. It's nice to have people talk about basketball or baseball for a change.

Yeah, RB certainly was poised to have a breakout year, but obviously that didn't happen in the first third or so. At the end of the last year he really started to come on strong and has everyone real excited about this year. He has been pretty much unbelievably bad if you look at his stats and the multitude of open shots he has taken this year.

Jesus, the mo'fo can throw 'em down though.

Other top performances that come to my mind
1. TMJ vs. Sparty
2. JG vs. Hawaii
3. Scott 2nd half vs. Hawaii

Kadji and Larkin have had a ton of really good games so far, not one comes to my mind right away though.

Yeah, pcity has been calling big things for this kid since day 1, glad he is finally starting to come through. Team needs him if we're going to do anything in ACC play. Albeit, a little longer than a minute to get into it.

****, this has got me pretty excited for Thursday, bring on the 'heels!!!!

I agree with you totally soy but I didn't see any hate on op at all. My question about being new to canes basketball wasn't a loaded question. I was being for realz.

Welcome to the site U51. Rion has been struggling mightily all year but found his stroke yesterday. I was more concerned with his defense and decision-making more so than his shot. Still questionable on the defense but he should be okay.

Yeah, that wasn't really directed at you, more of the entire thread base in general....actually, now that I re-read, there really is zero hate on the OP in the thread. My apologies if it came across as I was calling you out. It's most of the other threads. I've been a reg here for about a month now and the football threads are really starting to get loaded with some new people posting some I guess "n00bish" questions. I don't get why people can't post a simple link, say welcome and move on. Just annoying when you want to come on for some quick info and everyone has to ***** and 12 posts out of 20 are non-relevant.

Welp, you know it's a great site as there are more and more unwelcomed/unwanted visitors that stop by.

Hey guys. No, I am not new to canes ball. I've been following and going to nearly every game the past 4 years and follow this team very closely. Rion has been extremely disappointing this year and frankly hadn't really lived up to the hype coming into college. He was supposed to be a lock down on-ball defender and stroke it well, I really hope he turned a corner yesterday. Since I am new to the site, I guess I'll say a few things. Going into the year I said this was a potential sweet 16 team, and making the tourny isn't enough this year, at the least have to make it to the weekend. I still think we can be at the level once big Reg comes back. I'll be honest I have been a big Gamble detractor the past few years, the player I've criticized most since the Cyrus McGowan days. But he has played well. I've said for years now, if he knew his role he is a very playable player. His role is to rebound, dunk, and hit layups. This means not dribbling, not shooting jumpers, etc. The key to this team is playing to our individual strenghts that means pounding Reg (and gamble) inside, Kadji shooting midrange jumpers and inside, and not just chucking up 3s, Durand and Lark penetrating, and letting TMJ (and rion if he can keep it up) stroke it from 3. What worries me is our guard depth. With GA probably Redshirting if one Guard goes down, we have no bench guards besides our walk ons (as much as people may love Justin Heller, he should never play a meaningful minute in ACC ball).

The Indiana State and FGCU game aside this team has impressed me. The UCF and Hawaii games were great, loved how we played. Just need to keep it up as we hit the meat of our schedule starting with @UNC this week. LGC!

Well you summed up everything pretty nicely.

Did you know Barry Larkin has a son on the team?

He played good last year. Just started out struggling. I was hard on him because i was expecting a lot from him this year.
