ride with fletcher

Lyle has a very high ceiling. He flashed last year, more than just the 91 yard TD. With an actual running attack that takes advantage of his skill set he will do great. Our problem is we recruit speed backs and want them to be 225 lb power backs.
It irks me when people say Lyle is not that good. He is better than Fletcher but we continue to use him the wrong way. You can tell the whole run scheme is terrible from where the hole is at vs where the running back is going.

Dude IDK, on that 3rd or 4th and short, Lyle had a huge hole between Cici and Coop and he whiffed on it. **** was glaring

All of our backs lack vision. Idk what it is. Brown missed a huge hole in OT to the left that he could have moonwalked to the pay dirt had he not saw it too late. Fletcher, well that has been discussed plenty.

I like Lyle, but I can also acknowledge that even going back to last year, his reps have completely fvcked up our offensive flow several times and maybe he just isn’t what I thought he was. Part of me blames this scheme though, no skill player can reach their ceiling in this offense. If he were to leave, would fully expect him to shine elsewhere.

Look at that gaping hole. The ball or RB just didn't bounce our way Saturday. I thought Brown had been the better back for most part of the season, he had a game or two where he regressed though. I wonder if they're playing too tight, coaches harping on them on assignments and not able to use their instincts.

this was criminal, he's in standing up

Would love to see Pringle get featured for a game. But not that A gap ****.
My thoughts at this point, If Lyle is gone after this year, we might be ok, if not improve, if Pringle takes his snaps. Might not be as complete but every bit as explosive and in limited action appears to be less hesitant hitting running lanes

Lyle is basically Ajay Allen. Very similar. Nobody said it was our "our system" holding Allen back.

Allen actually made more of an impact here than Lyle, and Allen barely gets carries at Tulsa now.

"The System" was the same excuse used for Jaylan Knighton. "Lashlee only has 2 run plays" was the excuse then.

No need to make excuses, just trust your eyes. Lyle is just average, and the on field results show it.

It wasn’t the system with Lashlee as much as it was having 6’2” 300 Lb OL with short arms
