He’s the only one that is consistent playing in this run up the gut bs.. he’s had 3 years of it.. so he’s the most comfortable

Fletcher averages over 5ypc, every game with over 15 carries hes went over 100 with a TD

Brown is good short yardage

Lyle averages 2.6 ypc, hes a change of pass back. 3rd down guy

Fletcher is average, but it doesn't take a special back to run HB dive over and over. He's plays hard and deserves credit.

Lyle is gone, won't be here next year. I could see it in his face last night. He is ****ed about playing time and our idiotic run scheme. He's talented, and could be a really good back on a different team.

He literally had 23 carries yesterday and only averaged 4.6ypc

The run scheme is broken..they could design some much better runs for all 3 backs.

In what world? Lyle goes down if someone breathes on him too hard. Dude is averaging 2.6 yards per carry on the year. He’s shown literally nothing on film that merits the level of **** sucking he receives on this board

Fletcher or Marty aren’t scoring on that run. Both are taking that contact behind the LOS (which is everything wrong with our run game).

Nah, I am fully aware he was out. In situations where the game is still close, and the opposing defense isn’t completely gassed, he has been a complete drive killer. In fact, I’m not sure we’ve scored on a drive he was in on until this game. Fletcher and Brown are the best backs for the scheme that we run (hate it or love it). Lyle broke one run of 17 yards for a TD and people are calling him the best back on the team. My eyes tell me an entirely different story.

Just to clarify, some people said some dumb s.h.it and you used a hyperbolic retort about being tackled by breath to make your real point which is that Mark and Marty are better than Lyle?

The original post said Mark Fletcher was the worst back in our rotation, and that Marty and Lyle were clearly the better backs. That’s a bad take. Fletcher has been the clear best, most productive back in our offense. You may not like his style of running or his “lack of wiggle” but the ability to move the ball down the field is currently aided significantly by handing #4 the ball versus #2, and to a lesser extent #6
