What's the offenses problem? Is it Rosier or is it Richt and playcalling? Answer....it's both. Richt is obviously hampered by Rosier who is just plain bad. But it is equally clear that Richt's offense and playcalling is also subpar.

One will be addressed, the other.....don't get your hopes up. Opening up the qb competition is easy and it's already been announced. Check. On the other front, Richt needs to do some serious self evaluation which should result in turning over the offense to someone else. But that's not going to happen in my opinion for two reasons. First Richt said when he came here he wanted to call plays and that reenergized him. Given that, I think he's going to be very reluctant to relinquish play calling. Second, he's got a scapegoat in Rosier. In his mind, his offense isn't the problem...he just hasn't found a guy who can run it yet. Gonna be another frustrating season on o.

I'm trying to withhold judgement until he gets a competent QB.
Having a bad QB really handcuffs an OC.

We still managed to gain more than a hundred yards over Wisky's average.
The only time they gave up more than 24 points was against Ohio State. (27)
If we hit our FG's and don't throw a **** INT in the redzone then we score more points against Wisky than anybody has all season.

Wisky has the #2 defense in the country and only allows 262 yards per game.
We gained 377 with Rosier at QB and a bunch of underclassmen at the skill positions. (Thomas, Dallas, Cager, Homer, Harley all made plays) Oh, and we were missing Herndon, Walton and Richards.

Miami is long overdue for a great QB. If its Perry, I think he can overcome Richts questionable playcalling

This. Not to mention Richt's offenses have always run the ball to set up the pass. We really had no solid run game all year. His play calling will improve with a better quarterback, the influx of talent the last two years at OL, and the running back studs we've brought in.

As Big Sky Cane said in another thread, no excuses next season. It will be Richt's 3rd year and we should have ample talent on offense. I'm very concerned about the direction of the defense, coaching-wise.

On the Hurricane Hotline after the VT game, Richt said that they would visit some teams to learn more about the shotgun spread offense. Well its needed. We seem to be running a very basic version.

Or he could just speed the process up and hire a 10th coach that can at least implement this in for him while he keeps on play calling (Please let this be the case...).

This might happen.

It's hard to judge the play calling with a bad QB and OL. If you got one or the other you can help hide the other. We don't have either.

Ok,we hire a OC.What happens if there is constant disagreement between Richt and the new OC?Cannot
happen,better take a another look.......Kiffin and Saban.

No doubt , haven’t had one since Dorsey . We need Perry to work his *** off and take the reigns . Another year of Rosier will lead to boos

Thing is , saban is a defensive coach and is a control freak from **** . Richt just needs an offensive mind with new innovations for his offense . He needs to bite the bullet and try something different

Way more concerned about the future of the defense than Rick’s play calling. He can keep calling the plays how about just getting an experienced offensive strategist to help him out?

The defense on the other hand the past 3 games have been exposed in a big way. First by a true Freshman QB and then last night by a true freshman WR catching 3 TDs.

I don’t like what I see on defense and I don’t know how much more talent will fix the problems and there are a lot on the coaching side. This for me could be major issue for the future.

And that's with having the ball way less time and running way less plays than Wisconsin did.

Hard to have an effective offense without your top three offensive weapons on the field, without a running game, and a below average offensive line that has trouble pass blocking.

We didn’t have Walton and Richards for the majority of the season . Walton didn’t play well against good teams anyway , Richards was a drop machine and always injured .

Aside from Rozier picks...#2 should have been a TD...D is what killed us. DBs should have had two to three picks

We don’t have a QB with the knowledge to audible out of a bad play, or an Oline to give him time
Let’s not forget our #1 RB, TE, WR along with some real good rotation guys on D are all injured/out
The holding calls, at least some obvious ones missed actually played a role in 2 TDS by whisky and 1 TD Miami didn’t get.
I’m ready to move into the Perry/ Williams QB battle. I just don’t have confidence in Rosier. If we got to go thru a learning curve let’s use a RS Freshman not a Senior

Just excuses man. Richt hasn't had "his quarterback" since Aaron Murray. Sure we had some guys hurt, but Its not like we found out they were hurt the night before. More than enough time to call a better game.

Our #1 rb and wr didn’t do **** this year against good teams . That excuse is way overblown

Saban is a defensive coach who has always had an OC. That’s not a great example.
