When specifically blames Jarren for the loss it shocked my conscious. And some in the national media and fans (Miami fans and other schools) jumped all over Enos, because it seemed partially insane to blame JW (19-29 and a TD with zero INTs) - a guy that played courageously in his first start, behind an offensive line that detonated on the snap.
I bring this up, because there were many of us arguing back and forth over Enos’ actions. On one side, you had those defending Enos, and on the other, there were those of us defending Jarren and critiquing Enos’ play calling.
It was obvious Enos called a bad game, and didn’t do enough to help Jarren, but instead of taking ownership, he threw his QB under the bus. I saw and still see it as a character flaw, and it was one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen a coach do. I saw it as a harbinger of things to come.
Now, after game 4, Jarren has improved but we’re seeing the same mistake prone Enos from game 1. On balance, he looks like a bad OC
Slow developing PA fakes and forcing JW to turn his back to the defense when the Oline is a sieve (especially the left side...his blond side
Abandoning the run
Going under center instead of the fun, with few spread concepts (4-5 wide) even though it’s an offensive strength and would help the running game and Oline.
Enos needs to be called the **** out by the media. As I said in a thread a few weeks ago, he needs to held to the same standard he held Jarren after he called him out.
