When the passing offense looked the way it did while we had the top like 15 WR recruits in attendence, yes it is embarrassing. The win was great. But nothing tonight would inspire any kind of confidence in me if I was a WR recruits.

Malachi Toney and Josh Moore played didn't they?

not a barn burner in terms of passing offense but they saw 2 true freshmen we's playing major snaps in a rivalry game. go back to the fsu or gator boards where you spend most of your time

They saw them throwing blocks and catching screens in a rivalry game lol. Why does someone have to be a rival fan to acknowledge our game plan was ****** on offense? It was a good win, doesn’t mean we can’t critique how poorly our O played for basically the entire second half.

I saw a lot of rain, some sloppy execution on all phases of the offensive side (certainly some of which, although not all, related to the aforementioned), a **** strategy to not get beat 20+ downfield but related to the WR group: a family unit getting going when the going got tough.

Not to oversimplify but if that last piece is off putting I think you’re working a sieve; I don’t think tonight’s performance is one that dings us from a recruitment standpoint.

Recruits will be in the locker room post game, that energy and message will still be there for them (and plenty an opportunity for early snaps too).

The original post was meant as a joke that all you sunshine pumpers are reading way to far into lol. Blame the rain if you want to (was a light drizzle I’ve seen from others in attendence) but it wasn’t a great game plan to highlight how we would use WRs in our offense. There’s plenty of passing concepts that can be used to attack two high safety looks that aren’t bubble screens. Acknowledgment of this isn’t saying it wasn’t a good win, but my original post was a jest saying that maybe we shouldn’t ask those WRs their impression of the game because it wasn’t a very WR friendly gameplan.
 
Last year the offense looked awesome and we stomped them and that didn’t stop us from struggling to close with high school kids.

Win over SEC rival
Great atmosphere
Media blowing us
Lots of youths playing big minutes

Defensive recruits will be HYPED. now just need to throw the bags at receivers and keep winning and we’ve got as good a chance as anyone.

This isn’t a thread for talking about shortcomings on the offensive side. Some of us would like recruiting info.
