Looked I'm ****ed about our recruiting efforts. We signed nice classes previously only to see the previous three regimes not develop. Now we see Al recruit what feels like a poor class with lots of kids dissing us.

Now here is my thought/question. After Al was hired he talked about recruiting Sfla. I was in Atlanta when he talked about it. I differ from many of you on Al. I think he has the DNA to be a quality head coach. He has those CEO qualities that Randy and Larry lacked. I ******* hate his defensive philosophy at Miami, like many of you. To circle back around here. Al knows he needs to recruit Sfla. He does. But he isnt successful in doing so. Why? This may sound like an excuse, but it isn't. Why the **** is Al not successful recruiting Sfla? I don't think the answer is singular or linear. Why can't Al close the ******* deals here? Now the ******* feeder schools are sending kids elsewhere. Why can't Al close the Sfla borders? I am as perplexed as anyone on the issue. I think some of it is his philosophy. I think some of it is the university and it's academics. I think the culture of Sfla is another part of it. A question I have is what would Nick Saban's recruiting look like at the U? Honestly, could the third string qb for OSU who led them to the ship have come to Miami? He sounded ******* idiotic to me. Clearly I like Brad K, so the point is more of a general observation. Can we not get kids in that are borderline academically? If I were Al I would go to my boss and figure out what needed to be done to get a "communications" major, or some other major that simply wasn't as demanding for some of the kids. Anyways that is only one sliver of the problem, but I do think it is a problem.

Why hey can't All close the Sfla border? I believe he has the DNA to be a CEO and so it's kind of perplexing.

If someone employed as the CEO of a football program has never won 10+ games, never won his conference, never won a bowl game, never played in January, and consistently ***** up the recruitment of kids that could make an impact here then you do not have the DNA to be a successful CEO.

He's been a CEO for a decade or close to it and he hasn't done ****.

So tired of hearing how Folden has great CEO qualities. Real CEO's fire anyone who is not getting the job done and makes the necessary changes needed. Folden does neither. He sticks to his outdated philosophies instead of adapting. Again how does he have any redeeming qualities as a CEO???

- Plays a boring, Big 10 style of football predicated on reacting instead of attacking

- His style of play and philosophy is a direct contrast to that seen in the local region

- He and his assistant head coach have abrasive, "smartest guy in the room" personalities that rub many people the wrong way

- Fails to develop and cultivate significant relationships throughout the local community

- Does not understand the South Florida athlete -- routinely passes on explosive, play-making players because they lack ideal "Big 10 size"

- Ostracizes large segments of the local community by refusing to offer or recruit kids that many in the area know are UM quality

- Lacks any on-field evidence to convince kids and parents this program is heading in the right direction

- Is a ******

Academics is just another in a long line of excuses. What recruits did Folden lose this year because of Miami's academics? I cannot think of a single one.

Al does not recruit south Florida. When he does, he fails. Dude skips over so many elite players down here.

From the last two classes alone, of the So Fla kids that did not receive an offer or received one too late, which do you feel should have been Hurricanes?

I feel like we missed a good 10-15 kids that have no business playing ball anywhere other than Miami.

Simplest answer is stubbornness. He's not surrounding himself with the best staff possible, he's not adapting schemes (that aren't working), and above all he's refusing to hold everyone on the team/staff to a standard of winning. He's excusing the poor performance to shift blame when it's the coaches' jobs to win games - period. Any recruits who get close can see through the hollow talk because there's no progress. Who wants to be the next Duke Johnson, Tracy Howard, or Anthony Chickillo when they could be the next Amari Cooper, Bosa, or PJ Williams?

The article from the Herald today hit the nail on the head with some of the specific issues - he's lost some of his best staffers over the years and in many cases shifted current staffers around to positions that aren't their natural spots. There are clearly schematic issues with the defense/personnel and he hasn't brought in anybody with a track record of correcting those kinds of issues. Guys are going to the NFL and playing better there than they do here. And, quite simply, no matter what Golden says or does there's no way to convince them it's going to be fun to get crushed by crappy teams like Pitt and blasted in irrelevant bowl games.

Obviously not all these kids would've been Hurricanes (nor do we have the space), but they all should've gotten offers IMO. Evaluate further game tape and decide which ones to prioritize. No need to leave south Florida except for Offensive linemen, quarterbacks, and defensive tackles. And when we do leave south Florida, we should pritorize within florida for the rest of the positions. Ex. D. Lawson, Darrion owens, Tyree St. Louis. 80-90% of the class should be from florida.

Nothing in Al Golden track record says he can be a successful head coach, not his first year, not his last year, not his middle years, NOTHING. He is mediocre at best and people seem to be in a trance with a couple of positives that he has with regards to his pr skills, but nothing in regards to what he does on the field. I am convinced Golden has seduced grown men by the contrast of how inept the previous coach was. (This points directly to the top of the real problem but thats another problem).

Anybody who understands seduction and how contrast works will understand how Golden has grown men swooning over his interviews from Day 1. Now the majority have broken the spell by looking at the merits of on field work but you still have guys to this day who believe Golden is a good coach even though his track record (which are cold hard fact) state otherwise. The contrast between Golden and Shannon is literally and figuratively black and white (not baiting for race), Where Shannon was a hermit with media and hated that aspect and was one of his glaring weaknesses, Golden is able to shine here and disregarding when his parachute didnt open in happy valley he always wins the press conference. Always has catch phrase, always can deflect and evade a direct answer. That makes some guys swoon for some odd reason.

We cant recruit because of same reason we cant win games, Golden sucks, his binder sucks, his staff sucks, his philosophy sucks, etc. He is a loser who steals checks for him and his friends and holds the school hostage. The Bot and everyone at top are even more incompetent than him but we can get into that another time. Get it thru your head, Golden is terrible. Everyone can see that in south florida and until the commitment to actually win games returns to coral gables as sad as it is to say I cant blame any parent for not sending their kid there.
