We currently have the 44th ranked class (per 247). Currently 8th in the ACC. As I was watching the game last night I thought what are we selling recruits right now? Not in the future not hypothetically. If the coach and AD are not axed sooner than later at what point does this class completely implode?

It will crumble without an immediate firing. At least you can tell the kids we have to be patient for the hire.
 
It sucks to see potential decommitments and transfers, but I think we should all know by now that hiring the right coach and building a proper foundation is far more important than any particular player. So if kids leave, they leave. That's just the inescapable reality.

This is my biggest concern. Seems like every time we fire a coach, we have a trash class that comes in during the transitional year. And then that ends up hurting us 3 years down the road.

If we want the next coach to get Miami back to greatness as quickly as possible, we have to find some kind of way to land a top 10 class to stack on top of last year's. I don't know how to do that... maybe the portal can help... but somehow some way they need to figure it out

What we absolutely can NOT do is take a bunch of fillers.... a bunch of Nate Dortch types at the end. If there is any silver lining, it would be that this was going to be a tiny class anyway, and these days we do have the portal so the next coach can lean on that if our December/February class is thin
