These kids are trying to get paid ASAP. They don’t want to waste an extra year in high school if they don’t have to.
There is also the unknown about the state of NIL money in a year or two. Lots of kids rushing to reclassify to cash in on the NIL while its unrestricted/unlimited.

This is true. However, not everyone is ready to do so. I think about kids like Tony Grimes and Antoine Jackson, imo they should have stayed in their original classes. Not everyone is a Ryan Williams.

I wonder if they separate out a true reclassification, someone like Blount who is 17 in college, as opposed to someone who takes like the Josh Jobe HS class route and "reclassifies" after taking 5th grade 2-3 times and is enrolling in college at 19.

This might not be the full list of “people Mario pursed til the end because he thought they were worth the trouble” but…

Malachi
Cam
Mark Fletcher
John Mateer

Every single one of these people have proven they were worth the effort. I remember there being some chatter regarding whether Mario should “move on”… “stop recruiting each of them” at a certain point but he wasn’t wrong about any of them.

When it comes to his ability to identify talent I trust his evals implicitly
