They are a massively flawed team. I pointed out earlier in the week that their offense relies entirely on gimmicks, and their D got zero pass rush against Bama. And bama stinks.

Gimmicks are how they trash bad teams. Good teams don't don't fall for trash plays over and over. Eventually you have to man up and whoop the guy in front of you. FSU can't do that enough to beat a good team.

As for Alabama... They aren't a bad team, but they did a lot wrong in their game against FSU and put themselves all out if sorts.

There were several times I saw what Virginia was doing and thought that we do the same thing, but better. Except for bouncing it outside. We do need to take advantage of that.

I sure would like to see him. Be great in the rotation.

He started against ND. Literally the first RB to play.

His ankle was nicked up preseason. He reinjured it and theyve been holding him out. We haven't "needed him" but he brings an element the other two backs dont have.

He dressed and warmed up the last two games.

I very much expect/believe we see him against FSU.

FSUs 3-3-5 defense is a good defense for the spread offenses that teams all over cfb have now. But against r a team built on the offensive line and a power run game, the base 3-3-5 is one of the weaker defenses. This is especially true if you don’t have a dominant NT. Marciante showed it in his OBB “student of the game.” If the NT gets moved backwards (as frequently happens with FSU), it leaves massive run lanes. I’m just a casual football fan so I was a bit baffled as to why a lot of people (even analysts) were praising FSU so much. On defense they are weak against the inside run. On offense they are all gimmicks. It will be hilarious to see them try that zone read handoff on offense and watch Castellanos get absolutely annihilated. Legal to hit him even if he doesn’t have the ball!
