If you seriously believe our offense and special teams are as bad as last year, then you’re either delusional or an idiot.

Go back and watch us play LSU, Wisconsin, Duke, Boston College, and Virginia last year and compare it to what you saw tonight. If you can’t see how much better we looked, that’s your problem.

This team showed more fight and heart than any Miami team of recent memory; we actually have an offense and a quarterback capable of winning games.

Did Enos call a perfect game? Absolutely not, but he did a decent job in trying to implement a new system with two freshman tackles and a freshman quarterback without a cupcake game beforehand. You can’t seriously look at me with a straight face and tell me that we were supposed to light up the scoreboard tonight.

Special teams still isn’t great, but it’s serviceable. Hedley is fine. Baxa is inconsistent, but I think will be fine in the long run. Coverage teams were way better. JT4 absolutely can’t fumble there. In that situation, we really missed Berrios. People used to complain about all his fair catches, but he never once fumbled.

Defense picked up where they left off last year, and will only get better when we get Bolden playing and Nesta back.

Jarren has a really bright future. He needs to get rid of the ball quicker or know when to throw it away, but for his first start he was great. Campbell and Nelson will get better as time goes on. Again, you guys really need to take a long look in the mirror if you thought we were gonna have all day to throw against a Grantham defense with two green tackles.

Now, some things I didn’t like:

- Enos not chipping the ends enough to help the tackles. I would also like to see us go quicker at times.
- Martell playing as much receiver as he did.
- The pre-snap penalties.
- The defensive line struggling to get pressure the majority of the time.

Moral of the story: people need to stop overreacting. We weren’t expected to win this game, and people need to understand that it’s going to take time for our young guys to grow up. We won’t play another team as talented as UF for the rest of the season. We realistically can run the table. But for now, you all need to get a grip and remember where this program was 9 months ago. We’ve come a long way — and the positive momentum will continue after we beat UNC in two weeks.

It’s not the results., although losing to your most bitter rival is always unacceptable.

But it’s how undisciplined they looked, and how horrendous the game plan was.

Right on target. Great post. Sacked 10 times. Prob close to 15 penalties, a muffed punt inside the 10 and lose by 4 to the #8 team.

While all these are ******* hard to swallow and terrible, we had a couple chances to win. I’ll give a pass for many reasons.

We win the coastal and all is forgotten.

Agree about the discipline issues, but that will be ironed out with time. Diaz and Enos are not the type of coaches to let that **** slide long term.

Don’t really understand how our gameplan could have been much better. We just gave the game to them on a silver platter with self-inflicted errors. Again, people have unrealistic expectations if they think we were gonna roll a talented, well-coached UF defense when we’re breaking in green players at money positions. Never mind the fact this was the first game in a new system. I don’t care who you are, but it’s hard not to look sloppy with all that working against you. I’m not going to say I agreed with everything we did on offense, but our gameplan is not why we lost.

thank you. feels like nobody is seeing reason right now. still plenty of season to play and plenty of things to build on

I’m going to give some people the benefit of the doubt and say that they’re probably just ****ed that we lost to a bitter rival and are lashing out because of it, but I think people will start to calm down and realize that many of their critiques are ludicrous.
