You can say "this game isn't on Rosier, it's on the whole team". But if Rosier could hit HALF of those deep throws like Kaaya did last year against Pitt, we have 35+ points and beat them by 2+ TD's. Our running game comes alive if he hits just 2 of those terrible misses. O Line gave him time multiple plays, Wide Receivers got open, Homer had the blitz pickup, Richt calls a play and everyone on the field executed, but Rosier still has 4+ misses on deep throws. If you don't want to say Rosier was at fault, then Jon Richt is the next guy in line because Rosier sucked passing the ball today, and Evan Sherriefs came in and wasn't ready to take control and make it "his moment".

Richt made the decision to live with this inconsistency of Rosier's passing and guess what? We're 10-1 with MULTIPLE comeback games this year. Should they have been comeback games in the first place? Don't care...10 wins, won our division, still have a chance at winning the ACC plus getting into the playoffs. Rosier had a terrible passing performance today, but he's still my QB.

This team is 10-1 with Rosier. Had Sheriffs or Perry been the pick we would have a worse record.

Richt did a great job given Rosier’s limitations, Walton’s injury, Richards playing less than 100%, and a below average OL.

I mean this year yea, but the inconsistencies of rosier will be tested next year by a talented redshirt freshman and a true freshman(soon as our guy commits) so I think he will have to prove to Richt that he deserves the job.

Rosier is inconsistent even in wins. Dude will go 3 and out for a while quarter and then light it up the next quarter. He's as streak as it gets. Difference is today he just never caught a hot streak. OP, is correct, if he hits on even half those throws and we are good enough to cover up everything else that went wrong today. He played his worst game as a Cane today, point blank.

One additional silver lining is he sh** the bed today and we put in Evan.. at least we know not to pull that sh** again unless an injury occurs

Rosier is inconsistent and probably not use to the cold weather but we are not 10-1 with kaaya because rosiers legs is what helped our offense in our last 3 wins.
We also need to develop our young OL men because this line gets pushed around at times.

Cold weather?? Stop it... he **** the bed, no big deal, we must win out, period... no excuses, please. OL needs to get tougher and quick!!

I like Rosier for his contributions to the team’s success this year. And it was a successful year. I appreciate Rosier and what the team accomplished, but talk of a NC is unrealistic until Miami has a QB with a future as a NFL starter. Here, I pin my hopes on Perry. Reports from summer claimed that he could make the throws. Had he enrolled early, he might have won the job. With the team at 10-1, no way Rosier loses the job now. Next year, the job is Perry’s if there is substance to the summer reports.

More depth and elite talent at RB is arriving next year. Add OL improvement, and UM will have a running game to complement the passing, which it did not consistently have this year. Two stud TEs could be coming, which will improve both passing and running.

Rosier, Homer, and the seniors on the OL helped make UM relevant again. They have nothing to be ashamed of. But, their role has been to renew the expectation of winning. They helped transition the team from mediocre to good. The next year or two will see other players complete the transition to great.

One of the key things is that Richt is still not sold on Rosier .... it has been obvious from his body language. He second guessed his original gutinstinct that Malik would never play QB for him...

... as a former QB, it must have been frustrating to see throws that are a "must make" being blown!! He knows Malik is so limited in potential... Perry will start next year

We need the freshmen to develop asap. This OL is not that good.

Perry was Richt’s guy in the 2017 incoming class. Richt wanted him badly. Richt will have him ready for next year. Remember, many of us thought Perry would be starting by mid-season. With the team winning, Richt had to stay with Rosier despite his inconsistency.

Next question if Perry starts next year is.... is Perry really better or is he "My guy"

I can only go by what I’ve read here and elsewhere. The buzz about Perry was strong last summer. I don’t recall any buzz about the other QBs on the roster.

I have seen Perry at a few practices. He was not ready this year but his upside is amazing. Elite talent and great instincts. Just came in too late. Coach really doesn't like Rosier much or Langham or Cager for that matter. If we don't win another game this season and we may not Perry IMO will be the starter but Rozier was the best choice for 2017

Blaming Rosier without mentioning that he had no running game at all is dishonest!
It’s hard to fathom that we have one of the worst olines in the ACC! CMR was made one dimensional
and it’s **** near impossible to win game with out the threat of a run game!

So yes I am not happy with Rosiers performance, but I am also dumb founded that we have these
clowns on the oline at a major Div 1 program! These guys can’t move a defender 1 yard off the line?

Show me anyone who said Rosier is not at fault. He played really bad today. The flip side of your argument is, if everyone else played great, we could have won the game.
OL sucked, Punter sucked, defenders got pushed around by a freshman QB who looked like a world beater.

most of the OL is coming back and they are ***. Expecting true freshman to make an impact on the OL is madness. OL will be the exact same. ***. I would say we need an influx of talent, but we have highly sought out guys there now. We need to upgrade our strength in the trenches.
