"Just going against him in 7-on-7's, he's going against some great DBs, and at times, it's very difficult to read him," Jenkins says. "He's very smart with the ball and doesn't turn the ball over."

Ohhhhhhhh ****! He's coming to take his thrown! Would be nice to have a 4 year starter here!

I think we're all excited but pump the brakes. We'll know soon enough. I'm taking all these quotes with a grain of salt because our defense is fuggin terrible and it's a joke that they would try and say who's got skills.

Or our secondary is a bit overrated? I hope a true frosh isn't constantly fooling our upper classmen or our defense is again fugged...

1st off our secondary really wasn't that terrible. Our defensive line was terrible! So I'd give a lot more credibility to that statement. 2nd I'm interpreting that as Kaaya isn't staring down receivers (cough Morris). We don't need a ******* superhero to come in & take over the reigns (although that'd be nice). We need a distributor because with the weapons we have they'll make him look like a superhero.

Trying not to get my hopes up... But seriously I feel we are freakin due for an elite QB to come through our program and end the misery... It's been over a decade for a program that used to be QB "U"...

(Please let it be Kayaa... Please let it be Kayaa... Please let it be Kayaa...)

Our safety play was pretty terrible last yr. Hoping it's much better now.

That had more to do with the talent there.

Nothing against the kids who put it on the line and worked hard at Miami, but Deon bush wasn't right coming off injury until late in the year, and Jenkins was inconsistent as a true sophmore, and Carter didn't know the play book yet as a true freshman.

Our safeties are much more talented, and has more depth with Crawford coming over too.

Maybe. It would be amazing to have a qb who goes through progressions and doesn't stare down receivers. Like i said im excited but ill wait to crown anyone. Unfortunately college football defenses include the dline. 7-on-7 is great for reps and building chemistry. It doesn't mean much more.

Agree...
A lot depth back there now its just a matter of coaching these guys to be better than their anticipated potential.

I would agree, but the D Line in a 7-on-7 is better than ours. You get a few seconds to get rid of the ball I think it is 5 or 7- our line never gets pressure that quick! So it is really about the talent of DB's and receivers. Both groups are solid for us so it is an equal playing field.

Anytime anyone whose commented on the kid, its been he's very smart. At the quarterback back position that's what a talented squad like us really need. With all the weapons we have at skilled positions plus a massive line that's the perfect storm. Trinidad Brad will be up for many awards if he continues to play smart and not turn that ball over
