1) Hail Mary was not a catch. The fact they called it a catch on the field was insane. We actually got a good call on review
2) We win and we lose with Cam. He put defense is some tough spots with turning the ball over 3 times. BUT he literally makes the offense go. He doesn’t have a run game to lean on, he creates by himself. The poise to extend plays and even use his legs instead of forcing throws was huge tonight.
3) we looked slow getting to the edge on defense. Idk if that’s tired DE’s or slow LB’s or not having physical CB’s but it’s concerning. Could really use Bain and Damari Brown when defending those run plays.
4) X has the softest hands, that 4th down play saved us.
5) Chris Johnson needs to be returning punts.
6) Run scheme is not great. When we pull those linemen to lead block it looks beautiful. Why are we running inside so much when we have athletic OL that are capable of pulling?
7) We won. We lost this same game last year vs GT. So it’s a conference win and that’s all that matters when it comes to punching your ticket to Charlotte. Let’s make it 2-0 in conference next weekend.
