Curious as to how many stars a player like Demond Claiborne garnered during his HS days.
Asking because not only did he have the fastest time for a RB at the combine, he was also a very productive RB at Wake Forest.
I'm looking at his HS Hudl and he looked pretty darn good too.
What's up with the recruiting gurus?

The star system misses just like the NFL Draft, too difficult to evaluate QBs till you see it at the college level among other positions as well. Its not a perfect science, the one position they be getting correct is DT and even that is not perfect.

Looks like 247 was the only one to reevaluate him post senior year and accurately predicted his future success; 4*, 149th in the country, 10th RB & best player in WF’s class. Rivals had him a low 4* but wasn’t as high on him. ESPN had him as a 3 star.

An even worse case than Claiborne is Walker, Kenneth.

The Rutgers kid from a few yars back and ran all over us and is now in the NFL was also not a big recruit IIRC. And Obviously Marty Brown wasn't as we plucked him from NDSU. It happens.

Kyle Monaggai

Funny thing is he abused OSU that year even worse than us at a 6.1 yard per carry.
