So there is this college basketball player John Brown who has been somewhat
of a human highlight reel at High Point University in North Carolina who is
currently a 4th-year junior.

There is speculation that he may opt for the NBA after this season or transfer to
a bigger school.

If he decides to transfer to a bigger school, I wonder if we will be in the picture.
He is originally from north Florida, and the High Point HC and one of his assistants
coached and played for Coach L at George Mason.
On the other hand, the assistant coach who recruited Brown to HP was Mike Balado,
a former assistant at UM and now working at Louisville.

Anyways, for you folks who follow hoops, what are your thoughts?

He's on track to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Human Relations after this season, and is mulling
three options for 2015-16: play for High Point as a redshirt senior while pursuing another degree; use a
graduate-transfer exception to jump to a high-major school, of which there will surely be suitors; or turn
pro, where NBA scouts have him pegged as a fringe draft prospect who'd likely have to play his way up
through the D-League or Europe.

Sign him up. Solid rebounder and a shot blocker who can score even if it is at the smaller school level.

I don't think we have any room, especially with Kamari Murphy being eligible next year. He led Oklahoma State in rebounding last year.
