QB expectations/production in 2019

In Enos's first year as an OC at Arkansas he got Brandon Allen to play the best year of his career with 3,440yds 30TD's 8INT's at 65.9%cmp. Allen was a Senior, but improved in Eno's offense from being a 56% passer & only throwing for 2,285yds his Junior year.

Plus had Alex Collins rush for 1,577yds & 20TD's & TE Hunter Henry (who wound up a 2nd rd pick) had the best season of his career the one year in Enos's system with 51rec 739yds & 3TD's. Which shows Enos loves to utilize those TE's.

So the question is, do we have a QB as good or better than Brandon Allen was in 2015? If the answer is yes, then we can expect some big time productivity out of the QB spot for us this year.

Also, you gotta factor in how much impact Enos had on the Bama QB situation last year with Tua & Hurts. Tua had 3,966yds 43TD's & 6INT's at 69%cmp. Obviously, Enos wasn't the main play caller for Bama last year but was the AHC/QB coach & Saban 100% expected him to be his OC this year until he left for Miami.

So I think assuming Tate is the starter, we can expect production somewhere around Brandon Allen's season in 2015, don't think Tate is as good as Tua so I don't think he puts up anything close to that.

The one thing Enos is gonna have to drill into Tate's head is making smart decisions. Don't let all that ****iness & "moxie" have you out there throwing picks because you're staring down WR's. Don't play hero ball, just get it into the hands of the playmakers & let our skill position boys work their magic. We're loaded at RB, WR & TE, he doesn't have to carry this thing all by himself, just make plays when we need it & don't shoot ourselves in the foot.

If our Offense can crack the top 30 this year, we'll win 10 games regular season & probably a bowl game.

I can’t see losing any game with a top 30 offense.

Still, we have more national titles than undefeated seasons so predicting zero loses is out there, even for a homer like me.

If the qbs play well , just can’t see more than one random *** road loss during the regular season. But looking at the schedule, it is hard to say any of these teams to upset us. I mean Pitt or unc? Don’t make me laugh.

We will roll UFag. No worries there. I want to say 12-0 so bad, but history is against that. Losing at the Rock won’t happen unless there is another act of God like the Duke monsoon.

I guess that’s why they play the games. I wouldn’t bet any of my money to say we lose to any of these scrub *** teams.

65% passing would be a massive enabler.

Think Manning's Colts...stronger running game than would ordinarily be possible with OL and D plays from ahead instead of hold the line every **** play or we lose (like lsst season).

Might even put Miami in CFP.

Since Dorsey.. we've had
1 QB throw for 3,500 yards (kaaya 2016)
0 complete at least 64% of their passes
0 throw for 28+ TD
1 rush for at least 5 TD (Rosier twice, 2017 & 2018)

I'm as high on Enos as anyone, but this would be one **** of a turnaround. If he can get those numbers out of any of our QBs this year, forget 10 wins. It's time to talk playoffs.

I wonder how good this staff will be making half time adjustments? Diaz defensively has been very good, don't know about the offense? To me Golden and D'Ono sucked at half time adjustments. I also wonder if it comes down to it will they use more then one QB or will they try different QB's against different opponents? I think Martel talent lines up best against the gator...but I don't know squat!

So Tathan is starting.

Thanks for the scoop El.

Lol, I never said was, I'm just assuming he is.

If Perry is the starter I think he might actually pass for a lot of yards too, due to him being more of a pocket passer than a true Dual threat.

It's alright no need to walk it back. We all heard it here first.

But in all seriousness I think it's Tate's job to lose at this point, which could obviously still happen. Assuming he seals the deal I like his skill set against the Gator better than Perry. I also think he's demonstrated leadership qualities and work ethic above that which Perry has shown (not to say he hasn't matured and improved there).

I am rooting for Williams to stick around and contribute at some point. I saw him in attendance at the ND game and was a fan ever since I saw his poise and tight spiral in practice and limited game snaps the following year.

Oh and I saw him again at Chipotle like a few weeks ago. We might be soul mates.
