Did the QB battle length hurt us??

If Enos felt like Jarren was the dude do you think it hurt him that they didnt give him more time to prepare?

I mean you could see how slow he was to relay plays... delay of games from not seeing the play clock... and of course the cardinal sin of holding on to the ball longer than needed and not having that internal clock to sense danger and get rid of the ball

One theory I can get behind. However doesn’t do anything for me now

I'm throwing a coaches challenge flag on your thread right now.

ENOS isn't the problem, our young O-line need's time to develop or we need replacements at the position.

If Jarren absorbs all of the 1st team reps earlier and begins to realize that his oline is trash and he wont be able to sit back in the pocket doesn't help him start to realize he needs too..

1. get rid of the ball quicker i.e if the 1st/check down are covered tuck and run

2. if the pocket is a mess just tuck it and run

You can't practice real game scenarios and the pressure of your first away game facing top 10 talent at green tree im sorry.

Had to edit to add to this... Also, do you think the coaches predicted 150yds of penalty? a Muffed punt? and for our tackle to get beat off the line cleanly on a consistent basis?

Look, at this point, the fact the game got moved up to week 0 might be a blessing in disguise. We have 2 weeks to get ready for UNC and experiment on the OL if need be. I'm all for Scaife moving back out to Tackle, but then that means Cleveland Reed must be good enough and ready to cover down the guard spot.

Cot dam it, the problem and the fix is obvious: Miami needs to drop bags on some talented Olinemen and get some dogs up front.
Dropping bags is it. It’s amazing how some are naive but I know from friend who played and he’ll say so and so got $12k etc and these are marginal players, starters but not AA. I can only imagine what 5 stars get. He played in the SEC and was a starter his final season on the OLine... NCAA is a joke as we all know...
