Problem solved

Correct, but won't happen, so doesn't matter. Championships are won with championship level players AND COACHES. That is a championship level DC, but Manny sucks and will never hire him.

That level of DC and experience that can do as they see fit would make a difference. I don’t see it happening though and so if Manny goes with the status quo scheme and a puppet again, he won’t make it past next season.

Muschamp ain’t taking that big of a pay cut.
He forfeits that buyout money the minute he signs.
Bama might fire strong and replace him with malzahn.
At least that’s how the smart contracts are written.

Muschamp can be fiery at times and that wouldn’t vibe with Manny’s fragile temperament.
Can you imagine the line out the door of Hecht of butt-hurt players needing a shoulder to cry on if Muschamp raised his voice at them in practice?

It's hard to believe that one game could completely destroy all of the goodwill from this year but it did. What happened yesterday was almost unimaginable to me. I knew we would get gashed early but I thought we would adjust. I somewhat expected a close game and potential loss but I never thought we would get humiliated. That loss was program damaging...

My prior doubts about Manny came rushing back. We need wholesale changes on the defense. At a minimum, he needs to fire Baker, Rumph and and probably Stroud and Patke too. Maybe Banda survives. Maybe. If he just fires say Rumph we are ****ed. Manny needs to abdicate the defense to a new coordinator and let the DC make ALL of the decisions on personnel, scheme, etc.

It's amazing that we have so many posters here that are such good friends with Diaz that they know with such certainty that he won't hire anyone that questions him or that he has an ability to acknowledge his own weaknesses. He was successful enough as DC that it landed him the Miami job and carried Richts team, so he didn't have much need to reevaluate his hiring. Now he's a HC and there is a one year sample as to how he adapts to things that aren't working. After year 1 he fired his entire offensive staff. Maybe some of these posters should wait and see how he responds as a HC to his defensive scheme being exposed before making sweeping generalities about what Diaz will and won't do.

He fired guys he had no connection to on offense and left the defense 100% in tact so yeah. On top of it, how many established guys would work for him? I think it’ll be an issue minus someone who was in trouble and needs to start again the way Liberty got Frieze.

What exactly Ed Reed job isn’t something like special adviser to Manny if so he should advise Manny to make changes to D staff
