Attended the Rising Star Camp this week



and was invited to the Legends camp after rising stars. Could an offer be forthcoming after Legends?

I like Preston Jack Thompson, he’s a natural fluid runner & just like all them kids from Clewiston has very good quick-twitch ability, even though he’s an under the radar FAU commit & I doubt we’d have serious interest in him, I’d take a flyer on a Clewiston kid in nearly every class, they develop really well once they get in a college S&C. The only question I have about him is his true Height, he listed at 6’0 but I can’t tell if he really is or not, but otherwise I think he’s a good sleeper prospect at CB.

Kids tape shows he's physical in the run game...seemed to be lock step when thrown his way. If he performs at Legends Camp, he'll blow up and get an offer.

He performed well enough at the Rising Stars camp to warrant an invite to Legends. LCE said his primary concern with Preston was his height. I have to believe if they're inviting him back, he must have been close to the listed height.

Some kids will Fall and others will rise as their SR year unfolds. Glad we scouting some of these underrated guys. Kids from this area are always tough and rugged like the environment

Yep. I have trouble remembering his name. Would be nice to know the deal here, OV upcoming or otherwise cuz this recruitment is extremely quiet.

He’s visiting Oregon this weekend & OH ST next weekend.

Doesn’t have an OV with us scheduled yet, so it’s up in the air exactly where we stand with him, but he really enjoyed his UV at Miami back in May, so we’re in it I guess but it remains to be seen what our chances are.

His former HC at Cedar Grove Miguel Patrick was hired by Oh ST as a QC/Defensive Analyst back in March, hence why they’ve been perceived as the favorites to land him since he decommitted from UGA, but his relationship with Addae stems back from when Addae was at UGA hence why Miami has been trying to get some positioning in his recruitment.

Basically, it’s like all of our CB recruiting, it’s for right now until further notice lol

I only gave a brief synopsis on Preston Jack, because I didn’t think we’d really have interest in him...

But if he gets an offer, I’ll do a more full breakdown.

Based off highlights alone I like this young man better than Sharif Denson. Hard for me to understand why Denison is 4 star and Jack a 3 star other than “stars” are probably overly broad as a valuation method.

Coach walker and his staff at Clewiston High school have done an incredible job of developing this young man. He is just as good a kid as he is a player with a ton of potential. He will have a great senior season. Can act a bit spoiled at times when things don't go his way but that comes with maturity. I love having him in the program.

Hows the LB for your squad greaves I think that's his last name. I saw him on preston timeline.

Greaves is a monster. Another example of an under valued small school stud that does not get the attention he deserves. He will ball somewhere. His pops is a former stud so he comes from a very athletic background. I hope he gets the credit he deserves
