Prayers for sure. And wishing the kid positivity so he remains confident.
But forgive me if I'm wrong, but I heard it's so likely for young pitchers now to have the TJ surgery. So earlier you can have it, perhaps better and get it over with and rebuild stronger. Spin rates and velocity now and the strain it puts on the arm.
That's a real rudimentary way of explaining what I heard. I'm not saying **** yeah, glad he's going under the knife. Just looking for some thoughts if there's any validity to it.
