power structure, & who appoints BOT??

Based off the “sources” it sounds like the BOT & donors are at odds. BOT supposedly leaking fake stories to make this search look like a circus, to make the job less appealing etc. (assuming bc Blake let go and they want to keep Manny) whereas donors want the likes of Mario etc. BOT feeling pushed out for the first time

Question is, who appoints the BOT? If the BOT has been the problem over the years, couldn’t the donors “overthrow” members of the BOT? You’d think the donors have the most power since they have the $$ the football program is dependent upon.

Who decides the power structure? The President? The donors in a majority vote? And I’ve heard Golden Canes. Is that another segment?

I get the sense there are too many cooks in the kitchen. As part of this repair job they need to consolidate power in a few people or this is going to happen again.

You make a big donation, the chair or another senior board member nominates you and the BOT votes on adding you….that’s all it takes to get on the board.
