Let me try this again since the last thread turned into a supposed excuse thread about the d.

How do you guys rate the talent by position. Today and future.

Qb- 7. I gave this group a 7, Morris is above average and I think Williams is a capable backup who has started a number of games in Cfb. Not to many backups can say this. Need Olsen to be good.

Rb-8. Duke is a 10 but the rest of the bunch just aren't very dynamic. Crawford is tough and plays with heart but lacks explosion. Edwards is young.

Wr-8. Hurts is a very good Cfb wr. Catches everything. Coley is as dynamic as duke with the ball in his hands. Will be very good. Dorset obviously has the great speed. One trick pony but he does that trick better than just about anyone. Waters, I have been pleasantly surprised by him and wish he got the ball a little more. Lewis is stil not himself and might never get there. Scott man could we use him. That shoulder has to be worse than we thought. He is far and away our most physical wr on the roster. We miss that.

Te -6. Wall ford can make some plays but is way to inconsistent. He rarely catches the ball cleanly. Cleveland and sand land have been non existent.

Ol-7. I am going lump these guys as a group. I think their pass protection has been well above avg. Morris is rarely touched and some of the pressure he does see, is caused by him. The run game is one of the better in the country . Short yardage is the one area that they need to improve.

Dl-5. Maybe by design but they don't get pressure on the qb. It's not even sacks it's being felt. Qbs are way to comfortable. Need McCord and am to make huge strides.

Lb-4 perryman is the only one of the bunch that is worth a darn.armbrister actually made a few plays early in the season and many thought he was improved but that has faded as the season has worn on. Gaines, does he even play. The only time I recognize him is when I notice the V on the back of his jersey. Figs makes some big hits but we need him to develop. Poor sign that Kirby can't see the field. Other than. A few all star games I have never seen grace.

DBS-8. Howard has been fantastic. Rarely even see him play which is good for a db. Gunter has been really solid. Crawford and burns are nice guys to have as your nickel backs. One concern is that they don't get tested because the flats and underneath routes are so open there is no need to throw to the wrs. Can't take this away from them. Dortch and the rest of the bunch haven't done anything and don't instill confidence if we lost guys.

S-2. The fact high smith plays at all keeps this grade at a 2. Enough has been said about him already so no need to pile on. Jenkins has been solid but he just doesn't make a lot of plays. Bush has been injured and most likely isn't 100%. Rodgers.was another player that looked improved early on but has fallen back. Carter needs to step up. There are other true freshman that have made an impact, so it's possible.

K-7. I know gourd is has been poor but I just couldn't give this a poor grade with the way odonnell has played.

Hc-7. The team has played hard and won some close games. The last two losses hurt and he needs to make sure they put forth max effort from here on out or this grade will go down.

Dc-2. The defense is better than last year but that isn't saying much. Kind of hard to be worse than 100th. They have gotten more sacks and created more turnovers. Last few games have been horrible. This has been examined many times so no need to rehash it here. Must get better or out the door

Oc-6. Coley has committed to the run more and been successful. Whether it's Morris or playcalling I tend to think it's the former but the use of rbs and underneath throws seem to be non existent. Seems to start running power and then gets away from it.
