Rousseau is the only one that has proven to be special. Bolden and Phillips have "potential" to be special. Several of the incoming class have "potential" but let's let them earn playing time before we start calling them difference makers. Certainly not the 2001 roster.

Neglected to Jordan to the Potentially special
 
Don’t think the roster is as bad as others believe but then again that would mean development is occurring for these players. I’d like to see a couple more OL via the Portal and 2-3 CB’s since our numbers there are so shallow. Then if we can pickup a player such as Newman at QB bring him in as well. I think we could use 1-RB, 1-C, and 1-K.

Truth of the matter is our cb numbers have been shallow for the last 4 years however talent wise this is still best group in terms of upside at that position. We do need to see if we can add someone in the transfer portal though and another cb if we can. Rumph position group depth has been hurt by malek young having to medically retire early And taking 2 grad transfer and 1 juco cb in the first 2 classes which obviously causes depth issues and concerns.

2020 going foward
We will be returning 2 guys who got starter type reps at corner, couch who played some in the base defense and also Christian Williams who played mostly on special teams but didn’t redshirt plus Clarke the newest addition.Attrition through taking 3 1-2 years guys early on hurt the cb room, nfl departures and also a position change is what’s hurting the depth there.

We don't need anymore LB's... atrocious how?

MLB: McCloud, Jennings, Austin -Cave, Flagg
WLB: Brooks, Joyner, Huff, Steed

That's 8 LBs and we only play 2 at a time we are 4 deep at each LB spot without injury...
 
@brock I don't feel that way... we always had a few scholarships that were never used, but I believed the coaches said they didn't just want to add bodies... We just wiffed on the CB that we were after.... we put all our eggs in 1 basket and missed big... Jobe, Surtain to name a few...

Agree with everything but the Jett Duffey move. Dudes character is suspect and we dont need anymore of that in the QB room.

If King enters the Portal he is the QB to go after. If not the WF kid, which is a
dropoff, or Costello, who is not the best scheme fit.
