Pop Tart Bowl - Young Guys

The story of the game was clearly the disappointing play of Emory - but I missed any discussion on the other young guys who got a chance to get more meaningful snaps. JoJo looked great. But I did not see snap counts, PFF grades or any other analysis of the other young players, particularly on defense (Scott, Blount, Popo, Bryant, Patterson, Brown . . .).

Any positive takeaways from the game on any of them?

WRs were generally pleasing. Good to know it should be a solid core next year. Hopefully a leader emerges along with a clear #1.

The old farts still logged the majority of the snaps. Was mostly a waste.

I will say I was prepared to be more hurt than I was in this portal. Really Horton was the only one I would have liked to see stay. Allen as well but that is just being greedy for having one **** of a 3 deep RB room. After the game I thought some of our younger, higher rated talent (especially on defense) would be hitting the portal but they stayed.

Riley Williams was a headscratcher but I actually think home played a part since he ended up at Oregon State otherwise I wasnt losing sleep over anyone.

Also as a side note, I went to the 247 Miami page just to confirm where our portal people went and Zion is now at SMU??? Was this reported anywhere? Otherwise:

I think that broke today or yesterday, it was recent. TRob recruited Harris when he was here and now he is at UGA. I think D$ also said they missed on two targets we ended up with so might not be plan A but would be interesting to see his development since he became borderline unplayable here at S. I imagine they try him at CB.

Jojo looks good but he needs a QB to target him.
 
Lofton and JoJo will have big years next year..

Unfortunately didn't see enough of Carr or any other offensive playmakers to form an opinion on anybody else.

Why would Georgia want Jaden Harris? Have they not seen the film? Makes zero sense
